I've only had my corn snake for two weeks, my first snake ever, and it was a PAIN getting my parents to let me have one. Thankfully, after that first hurdle, they've come to accept and like (Maybe) the snake a little. So yesterday I went ahead and bought my second snake, after I promised the corn was the only slithery serpent I would ever have, lol. They like this one too. She's an albino gopher snake. (Applegate albino, right? It's what the employees said she looked like.) Our first encounter she put up a little display, but since then she's been incredibly tame. She does try to bolt when I loosen my grip, but she's still young. ;) I LOVE her golden orange color. Does anyone know her sub-species?

She is SOOO beautiful!! They are really impressive and beautiful adults. Have you named her yet?
 
Had to do some maintenence on her cage cause I spilled a water bottle trying to fill up her water bowl. D:

Anyways, I took her out and all and cleaned up her cage. I did do some light handling for about 10 minutes. I'm not sure if I'm worrying about nothing, but she was rather stationary while I did. She seemed alert, looking around (But not much) and tongue-flicking, but she barely moved the rest of her. She's just a complete opposite of my hyper-active corn snake really, lol. I put her back and she went calmy to her warm hide. Just wondering if this is normal for a gopher snake.
 
Yay, she ate a small live fuzzy! Seems like she won't bother with frozen sadly, but I'll see if that'll change when she settles in and becomes a better feeder. (It kind of took some pestering to get her to eat the fuzzy, but I wanted to get one in her since I was told she hadn't eaten for awhile) I'm still getting to know her personality, and it seems like she has two speeds! Sometimes she's just so calm and slow, but when she wants to go, she does NOT hold back on her speed!
 
How did you try to feed her? I'd put her in a small feeding container, barely big enough for her to turn around, with a HOT fuzzy, with slits down the back of the mouse, cover her up, and leave her alone for an hour. You shouldn't have to pester her to get her to eat.
