IMO there will not be anything prettier than pewter types until actual blue or green cornsnakes exist. :D

Nice looking snake Serp, I'm hoping to produce some Pewters this year myself.

OK, I'll enter this one as ONE of my prettiest.

Aww aww! An amel? Blasphemy! :D

Is he going this year? I assume you're using a candycane as a mate, or a parent. It will be fun to see what comes from that... even if they are amels, hehe.

BTW whose lines (for the pewters) did you end up getting?

Oh good, a prettiest post

I have to say one thing though, it is much easier to pick the 'ugliest' then to pick a prettiest.

Serp, I was half expecting to see a picture of that little hypo motley you like so much.:) But I have to say, that pewter is a great looker! Not surprised at all to see a grey colored one though...LOL...are you sure you don't have a really nice amel you like, you know, rich red splashed with a bit of yellow & orange? :D :duck: :duck: :duck: :duck:

Clint, I hope you get some like that guy. He's quite a looker!

Here is ONE of my prettiest, at least to me.
Snickers

Snickers!

I remember you posting a pic of Snickers (like the candybar) a while ago ....and for some reason it just stands out in my mind and I will probably never forget that snake...if I ever decide willingly to get a stripe, I want one from that line! What a beauty!

I tried that male last year but he wasn't interested, he was two and unbrumated. I'll try him with his Snow mother again and his amel sister, this is her:

I'm hoping I'll see something special in them before they hit the age of six months.

My Pewter line is from Frank Pinello. I have a male Bloodred het Charcoal and a Charcoal female het Bloodred. They'll both be ready this year. This is the female:

Okeetees!

Still my favorite! This one in particular, I am always anxious when she goes blue b/c I know she keeps getting better and better after every shed. Nothing like a nice okeetee. Nothing. :realhot:

LOL, smart move ducking... it has to be ORANGE or nothing at all.

You mean this Hypo motley?
Windy_0204_01.jpg

I want to name her either Windy or Iris.
(References to hurricanes, even though Hurley's has the better hurricane pattern... as I'm sure I will be reminded. ;))

Gardenmum is right, it is harder to pick the prettiest.

I love Pewters too. But I don't have any:( So this is one of my prettiest (I think). Sorry Serp:D

There's no wind in this picture... don't ask me what the sideways tongue is due to.

It is hard to pick the prettiest!

They are all pretty!

I picked this little girl because she is very unique. Of course, I don't know how she will turn out as she matures...

Paul,

I'm really not sure. I bought her as a crimson, but I don't believe that's what she is. She came from a line of snakes that are multiple het for many things. I think she may be the combination of more than one recessive gene. The only thing I can tell for certain is that she is hypo (which type, who knows???).

I spoke with the breeder about her. He kept another baby that was colored just like her. His has changed to where it looks like a crimson. It basically has a white base color.

I look forward to raising her up. I have several snakes from the same breeder and I look forward to trying to find out what she is. i hope to produce more like her eventually.

Yeah, Corncrazy, that snake is a beaut! What all is it het for? I like how it has dark eyes. And the colors very nice and even.
