I'm talking about those nature shows you'd see on tv. That's about the circle of life, etc, so it doesn't bother me. It's the videos like the one of the kid teasing a bearded dragon with an anole and recording it so other people could watch the bearded dragon kill the poor thing in a brutal manner. That's the stuff I find disgusting and inhumane.

However, I DO agree that these sorts of videos are particularly disturbing. I can't comprehend the sort of mentality it takes to derive pleasure from such activities. I would like the opportunity to "hang out" with some of those kids for a few hours alone. Might change their minds on how they treat things that are smaller than them...

Who is to say that the pet store from whence you just purchased your f/t mice doesn't have a psychotic kid in the back whacking mice on the head and suffocating them?

WHAT? You mean that's not normal? zomg! Just kidding. I prefer to kill mine with a hammer and good old fashioned belittling.

You raise some excellent points Tyflier.

I agree with Simba ::wink face::

I actually use to feed my older snake live mice so I'm not really one to throw stones, but stopped when she got to full sized mice. It's a mixed bag with YouTube! I saw a video of a wild python catching and eating a gazelle which fasinated me, but then I saw a video of a captive python eating live Tweety's, still chirping as they were in the stomach, and I felt like I needed a crying game shower.

No but seriously...where can I find that video you're talking about SnakeNBake...JUST kidding
