  • Good News Friends! I talked with Joel (event organizer for the PDX Expo I believe) and he said that we would be able to use the “Upper Terrace” just outside the Expo area in the Hotel the morning of the Expo.
Here is a link to a map of the Hotel (bottom of page)

The Expo is held in the “Dogwood, Cottonwood, Redwood and Candlewood” Rooms. We will be meeting on the Upper Terrace” just outside the Expo. Joel mentioned letting us pay our entry fee ahead of time. Adults $7 Kids 6-12 $3. There is a show coupon you can print off at the bottom of the Show web page.

We decided to have our get together in the morning before the show because a few of our members are vendors and after the show it would be unwise to keep unsold or newley purchased animals in cars for any length of time during the heat of the day. I know it’s early but I plan on being there at 8am. The doors are opened to go into the expo at 10am and there is usually a line of people waiting to get in before that, so 8am gives us a few hours to chat before the show.
I know everyone is on a tight budget but since it will be early and we aren’t meeting at a restaurant I thought it would be nice if everyone could bring a breakfasty type item to share. I plan to bring muffins from Costco, but other ideas might include fruit salad, granola bars, pastries, juices etc. Please message me and let me now what you plan to bring so we don’t have ppl bringing the same things. I am very excited to meet everyone and to have a great time at the show.
Are you in OR? I was thinking you were in WA. I wish we were closer. (I'm east of Everett-north of Seattle)
That sounds like a wonderful birthday for Rex. :)
Our babies deserve to be spoiled! I'm glad you get to celebrate his birthday together. :)
Our oldest Border Collie turns 15 on July 6th. My husband took the day off work so we can take Rex to the beach (Lincoln City or Neskowin, most likely) for a day. We'll let him meander in the surf or sit in the sand, whichever he prefers, and he'll have his favorite meal-- a McDonald's cheeseburger (no pickles, no onions) cut up into tiny pieces and hand fed to him, a bowl of vanilla soft-serve ice cream spoon fed to him, and an orange Tootsie Roll Pop, which I'll hold until he licks it down to the center and crunches it up. Hey! A dog doesn't turn 15 y/o every day, ya know! *grins* That's a great reason to celebrate imho.
They are great dogs! I have 2 GSD's, & 8 ferrets, that keep me busy (along with my new snake addiction) LOL
Hey for those that go on saturday my cell is 253-797-6201...give a call if you end up there...Chet
We'd love to come. Unfortunately, the only time we go to Wilsonville is when we're visiting Fry's, so we don't know the local eateries, I'm afraid. Sorry I'm no help.
So I would like to organize a get together for those of us (Pacific NW Cornz) who plan on going to the Portland Metro Reptile Expo in August, preferably meeting at a food joint in the vicinity of the Holiday. Idk when would be a good time because I know a few of you will be vendors. But if anyone knows of a good place to eat let me know. So far I have seen a Pizza place and a BBQ.
I agree two wrongs don't make a right. We have had to seperate ourselves from daughter, because of her two middle girls. It is ridiculous, it also means we can't see our great gd (oldest gd), which is the worse part. I know I would hit one of them (middle ones) they are rude, vulgar and the youngest will try to hit. UGH
Awesome :D I'm so excited for you, happy I could help you in your "Orange Corn Crazy" lol
He should be here Tuesday! Got his habitat set up and ready for him. Beware--between now and next Spring, I may be picking your brains about this whole breeding thing :).
