2 kids killed by escaped python in Canada

I thought the autopsy revealed that the kids had been killed by carbon monoxide after the snake broke a pipe. There were no bite marks or anything, and the kids were left in the same position they went to sleep in? If the snake had killed them, not only would there be a few broken bones I am sure, but their brains would have severe damage from the blood vessels exploding. Why didn't the other kid didn't hear his brother scream as the snake killed him? (Ever heard a rabbit scream as a snake kills it?) Yeah, I don't think the snake killed the kids. There is much more to this story.
 
I know that carbon monoxide was mentioned as a possibility by one of the snake experts but hadn't heard anything more on the autopsy other than that they died of asphyxiation. Since that would be a much less sensational story, I wonder if it ever will be reported if they do rule out the snake.
 
It's very strange. I believe a lot of the information is being kept quiet since the investigation is still going on.

One of the articles I read said that the guy who found them thought they were sleeping until he turned on the lights. Then it said he saw bite marks.

Would the carbon Monoxide not have killed the snake as well?



The man Claims he saw bite marks.......I've seen reports that there were no bite marks....this rules out a snake attack.
 
Why does everyone keep saying there were no bite marks?? There were and the snake or reptile expert said that in his interview.

I did say that. ; ).

I'm pretty sure jay brewer made that statement in his interview about this situation. I could be waaaaay wrong here.... So take it with a grain of salt.

If you get bit by a snake large enough to kill you, why would you not scream your ass off? And if you did, why would the other kid not wake up? Or anyone else in the house? The snake doesn't immediately bite the kid, engulfing his entire head. And even if he did, don't tell me the kid would not consciously or not make a heck of a racket in his escape attempt/death throes. Okay, and if the snake _did_ bite the kid, and the kid did not scream, why not? Perhaps already dead? Drugged? Both of them dead or drugged? And what kind of kid has a sleepover and then sleeps in a different room? Only if you have done something terrible and are being punished by being separated. I wonder what the surviving kid had to say about the events of the evening?

Seemed like the animal regulatory agency was sure ready to sweep it under the rug that they had actually placed the animal in question with the guy! Were happy to be saying he had it in violation of the law, until called on it.
 
There's a lot going on here. The guy was found with multiple violations regarding animals in his "zoo".As bad as it hurts to admit it it's almost a given that the snake killed the boys at this point. I think it was a case of mistaken identity on the snakes part because of the goat scent on the boys.I also can see the snake getting down silently. I can also see small young children sleeping through an attack. (They sleep pretty soundly at that age).Also I feed my rat snake live mice and have watched her grab one and while constricting it grab another and constrict it at the same time.

There are some loose ends here.But since this snake was illegally kept ( even though the authorities approved it) and the fact it was negligently kept should be grounds for civil litigation at the least and probably criminal punishment.

Still waiting on the rest of the story myself. ...
