Well, if you look at it the way they NORMALLY have it, you'd fare a little better... (sharing 8th). :)

So I was driving downtown today and ran into a gaggle of people, news cameramen, and police officers. Couldn't figure out for the life of me what was going on. Turns out the Vikings are staying at the hotel I drove by and everyone was trying to get a glimpse of Favre getting off the bus.

LOL. He IS quite the celebrity these days, huh? Part of me really hopes that he can "magically" take the Vikings to their first SB win... It would be great for a team that has been there 4 times and lost all 4... (I THINK it is 4).

I guess we'll see!

Not a day goes by in these parts that you don't hear something about him on the radio or TV.

Heck, they did a welcoming Favre thing for 4 days before the game. I think Friday was flip-flop day. Yesterday the Titletown Brewing Company gave out waffle fries. Thursday they had all the 8th graders in GB write their "top 12 reasons 4 staying in Green Bay"...winning class got $300. Minnesota Avenue in GB was temporarily renamed Aaron Rodgers drive.

Yeah, they're still a little upset...it's kind of funny (and annoying at the same time)

As a fan from the outside, it kind of bothers me that the Green Bay fans are acting this way.

Green Bay did not want Favre anymore. Sure it would've been easier if he stayed retired. But, he still has the desire and ability to play. If he was not gonna be able to play for the Packers, he had to play somewhere. The offense they run in Minnesota is the same as what he was running for Green Bay, so it made sense for him to want to play there.

Brett Favre made the Packers relevant again in the NFL. Without him who knows if the Packers would even be competitive today.

All the Packers fan should stand and cheer loudly for Favre when he is introduced. But the second the game starts, they should cheer for the Packers and move on.

On a sad note, today is the 10 year anniversary of the passing of Walter Payton. I have many childhood memories of watching him destroy defenses, even when the Bears were terrible.

He was more than just a football player, and his legacy is alive today through his foundation.

He is missed by many people.

Somewhere "Sweetness" is breaking another tackle.

I agree with you about Favre. IMO they should all cheer for him quite enthusiastically. He REMADE Green Bay.

Have you ever heard Emmitt Smith's story about him and Walter Payton? Emmitt, being the great man he is, mentioned how after an injury that supposedly would end his career, Walter came in to visit him... told him that he'd be fine and that if he ever needed anything, all Emmitt would have to do is call. They talked a while and then Walter left. Emmitt said that it stuck with him, because it was like Walter was encouraging Emmitt to heal up and go get his record.

After Emmitt did break Walter's All-Time Rushing record, he paid all the homage and respect to Walter that a person could.

I never really was a Chicago Bears fan... but I've always been a fan of Walter Payton.

BIG question.... Tennessee or Jacksonville... I know not to trust Tennessee, but they REALLY should win ONE this year... and with the switch to Vince Young... anything could happen....

GRRRRRR... which one to pick????

Denver @ Baltimore is the big game for me this week... (of course Minn @ GB is too). I know that Baltimore is favored, but I think Denver will take them this time.

Got about 45 minutes or so to finalize picks... I think. Good luck everyone!!!!

My thoughts are that if Baltimore loses, that will be 4 losses in a row for them. Also, they had a BYE week last week to prepare for Denver. And I am still not completely sold on Orton.

I just can't take another loss from picking Tenn. again, they have to start winning before I pick them again.
Even though I hate Denver, they're still hot, but then again whenever I pick Baltimore they lose, whenever I don't, they win, so take that as a sign maybe, lol. Oh, and all my friends in Cleveland would be disappointed if I rooted for the Ravens... maybe even disown me, lol...

Yup, flip a coin basically! I picked TEN, seeing Vince Young will be starting, they should have a nice day rushing, and the Jag's best defensive player is out (Rasheen Mathis).

Good luck this week everyone! I'm still kicking myself for not picking Philly, but that's alright.

My friend has been texting me, "Never bet against the Birds!", of course that's his team, so he says that every week, except when my Raiders stomped them. That was a good day, lmao

UGHHH!!!! Have you seen the scores... SF beating Indy... St. Louis beating Detroit.... Denver losing to Baltimore... NYG losing BIG to Philly...

I'm in trouble this week.... :(
