I too think the revamp prize distribution is much better!! Great job so far JG, thanks so much for all your hard work, thus far and thanks to all of those who have donated prizes!!

Also, Asbit, I'm trying to convince my husband that $30 is a fair price for a coffee mug (he's so difficult ;)), hahaha! I'm kinda glad I can't enter now because I would probably, with stars in my eyes, pass up those amazing live prizes just so I could have that mug :crazy01:

I'm a coffee mug person though, so my enthrallment understandable :D, but the picture on it is just so darn cute! I bet you it's going to be one of the first prizes claimed, especially for those who can't take in any live prizes right now.

We need all the contributors to post pics or links of their contributions so we can "oooo" and "ahhh" at them too :D.
 
Great job organizing this!! Definitely well-deserved rep. Anyway, I have a question. If I donate can I still enter? I could donate something for Canadian or Americans since I travel between both countries often. :)

I'm a bit confused about rule #4 ("Entry or like entries may not be posted elsewhere on the internet; this is to retain anonymity"). Does this only apply while the contest is running?
 
Soooo.... pix of my animals or of animals I've seen in my travels and have posted on one of my websites are excluded? Sheesh--practically every photo I take that I like ends up on a website, somewhere!
 
When I entered a previous contest, I took a picture *specifically for* the contest and simply didn't post it anywhere. In fact, despite doing a massive photoshoot of everyone else, I posted no pics of Dier during the contest time so that people would be less likely to recognise the snake.

Yes, if you donate a prize you are more than welcome to enter! :D If you win you can either pick a prize that was donated by someone else, or you can choose your own prize and save yourself some money, lol. Although I'm sure most everyone will be choosing something from someone else, especially since they are all such amazing donations!

Technically yes, it applies until the contest has ended. If there is already a picture floating around the interwebz somewhere, it's probably the owner's best bet to enter a different picture so no one accuses anyone else of cheating and that person gets disqualified. Once the contest is finished you can post that picture anywhere you desire :D.

I know what you mean! I've really had to curb my picture posts in anticipation of future contests.

This is a very wise move and I suggest this method to others as well. This keeps everything fair and square.

This must have taken a lot of time and effort to finalize. Thank you for all of the effort in creating the contest, as well as the rules/guidelines/categories, and thank you to all of the people who donated. This is a really great idea, and very kind of all of you to put together.
 
This Sucks!!!

I had my camera sent into get fixed and may not have it in time for the contest! It better be here,:flames::blowhead: or I will have to have the lens fixed....again! =)

Don't look at me! I'm not entering! I will suggest that you make a few threads in some other forums, such as the Photo Gallery and General ChitChat and maybe a few others to help get the word out. I'll even sticky them for you if you want.
 
I'm working on it, really but my camera pooed the bed... so now I am trying to get used to my son's.
