Congrats, Steve. And to the buyer, who got a great snake at a great price!

I'm disappointed that people would sign up to a forum and spend their first posts calling a stellar example of a cultivar "steep" or "overpriced." Please, first learn the morphs, and what makes individuals special before even suggesting such a thing. Even if you know the ins and outs of a mutation and someone is charging more than you would personally pay, why bring it up?

Also, I'll echo everyone else in saying get your corn the heck away from that getula king before it becomes dinner.

And just to add to the comments on having your very nice Reverse Okeetee (but not an Extreme RO) with a King, if you think that the size would prevent the corn from being a snack, think again. Size matters not as there are many examples of snakes eating other snakes their own size and it usually ends with the loss of both.

I bid $1 incase anyone over bids! (like over bidding is a problem)

Steve, had it not been for my dryer's mother board crapping out I'd have shot you a PM for that critter seconds after you'd posted it. Definitely envious of whoever snagged her. Stupid dryer's cost me 2 critters :punch:

I hear ya! I fixed my roof two times, same company, and still have problems :(
I can see myself moving out some corns soon.

How typical

I have to agree with the others, you do have yourself a pretty Reverse Okeetee. However, it is not considered extreme and IMHO can not be compared to Steve's extreme reserves okeetees. It is almost comparing apples and oranges.

Again, having your corn snake in with the king snake is a very bad idea and extremely risky. You are not only risking transferring of diseases, parasites and other issues, but your king snake will eat your corn snake in an instant. You might want to educate yourself on both species and their habits and diets.

Steve, I must say that hold back that is now for sell is absolutely stunning. Such an amazing ERO. If I wasn't grounded from buying anymore snakes, I would have to get it. However, hubby says no more for now :( :nope:

Well i think my snake is much prettier that that one. That has no red and almost no orange. its very dull. My colors are so much more vibrant!!.
And for the typical part : You people who love to take any opportunity to try to look important and tell everyone what they are doing wrong are hilarious. If you could pay attention and look, you would see that those snakes are in a very small container with nothing in it. No water, no substrate, no hide..... I put those snakes it that container so that I could take pics and show off the colors and just have a really cool picture. The snakes were in there long enough to take 3 pics. Then they went in their own home. If you just ask instead of shooting volleys at people immediately you wouldn't sound so condescending. So instead of giving all the reasons why its wrong, just ask if they stay together or how long they were there and maybe you would learn something instead of trying to look important!!!!

The orange will begin to pop as the snake grows and sheds, and the lack of red is what makes it an EXTREME REVERSE Okeetee. Yours, at best, is just a pretty albino. Huge difference.

What??? LOL. Albino? LOL. You dont seem to know your snakes. I will concede It is probably a reverse and not extreme. If you notice the white border around the saddles. It is a reverse okeetee. She is older now and the whiet borders are getting better all the time!

I DID notice they were in a critter keeper type container that is not set up as a habitat. The problem is, it takes literally SECONDS for it to happen, and if you've ever seen a king eat another snake before you would realize that the feeding response that is evoked by placing another snake in with them is unreal! You got very lucky, that's what it comes down to.

As far as color refer to page 4 on this thread, post #32. Steve's Extreme Reverse Okeetee's are anything but dull.

Sorry for chiming in, keep getting emails for this thread so Ive been following it :) But, I was under the impression the a RO or an ERO WERE in fact types of albinoism. I thought because they lacked the dark pigment (the black borders) made them an albino. Im still new to corn snake genetics, but arent they an amelanistic form of the Okeetee morph? If so, then Theack777, you do have an albino....just saying. And it is a very pretty snake, but tbh, even as a newbie I can tell it's no where near the quality of Steves ERO. Sorry, but it's the truth. And Im with the other guys on the kingsnake thing. You NEVER put them together, not even briefly to take pics. Tho why you'd need pics of them together I have no idea. Steve, beautiful snakes! And am looking forward to what you'll be producing next year! Lol I really hope by then Ive got the finances to add to my collection, youve got some of the most beautiful snakes Ive seen!!

Reverse okeetees are selectively bred albinos(amels). I have a regular amel that has white borders but they are not wide enough for him to be considered a reverse okeetee.
