2013 AVAILABLE CORN SNAKES

Thanks! Thought so! Lol sorry, was just a little shocked and confused when the guy got pissed someone told him he had a nice albino.

The "guy" didnt get pissed that he said I had a nice albino.... Just dont agree with people thinking what is right for them isnt right for everyone. OBVIOUSLY you people are wrong that the king attacks immediately... LOL. My king did NOT attack my corn and I hold them together all the time and there has never been any issue at all. and I hold my snakes everyday.

I just had to say Steve that it was great to finally get to meet you at NRBE this weekend. You produce some of the most beautiful snakes! I will hopefully by January be getting things turned around here and can maybe partake in aquiring some for my collection (fingers crossed anyways).

What??? LOL. Albino? LOL. You dont seem to know your snakes. I will concede It is probably a reverse and not extreme. If you notice the white border around the saddles. It is a reverse okeetee. She is older now and the whiet borders are getting better all the time!

This is not you getting upset that someone called your snake an albino? My bad. Cant read tone over the internet. And for goodness sakes PLEASE stop putting your corn and king together!! Your king may not have attacked your corn YET, but that doesnt mean that it NEVER will. Why take a chance? You obviously care about your corn snake, so why take that risk?

It was my pleasure! Thank you, and let me know when the time comes.

Your snake is a nice albino. It is also a nice Reverse Okeetee.... Reverse Okeetee is a selective bred amel which IS albino. But what Steve is producing is EXTREME Reverse Okeetee so that is different and more highly sought after which is why the prices are higher - to reflect that demand. For you to come on the forum and call out Steve for his prices being too high because you bought something "just like it" was uncalled for and also untrue - since what you have is not an EXTREME Reverse Okeetee, just a standard Reverse Okeetee. The price you paid is right for the snake you bought, but to get something as selective as Steve's you would pay a higher premium.

And in regards to your king and corn together - you got lucky. You are still getting lucky if you are handling them together. People on this forum care deeply for their animals and we have heard too many times where someone just put their snakes together for a moment for a photo or to quickly clean a tub or something and tragedy struck. No, it might not happen to everyone or every time - but why take the chance? What is going to happen if someday, just because it has worked out fine every time before, you take them out together and your kingsnake DOES attempt to eat your cornsnake? People aren't saying it only because they think they are right - we have seen the evidence time and time again of the bad things that can and do happen when the two species are mixed.

without actually seeing the $45 Tampa special, I can't say if it truly compares equally with one of Steve's ERO's, but I'll wager it doesn't

This is what I was thinking !!

So you bought a $45 Amel at a Tampa show and are trying to compare its one of Steve's RO's ( Roylance Okeetee's )

Second to none is being modest

I agree 100% !! Steve's ERO's are the BEST in the industry as far as I'm concerned.

Here is the girl I got from Steve a couple years ago and was thrilled to have to pay ONLY $125 for her. !!

Walter
:crazy02:BOUT' CORNS !!

Wow!! What a beauty! You can tell he only produces the best :) I got a Lava from another breeder after Steve had sold out of his, and shes a beautiful snake, dont get me wrong, but no where near the quality of Steve's. No offense intended to the breeder who sold me mine! Id be ecstatic to own one of his snakes. You can tell just by looking at them that they are worth every penny (and usually worth more lol)!

^^ This!!

Honestly, if you love your scalebabies, and are keeping them as pets, does it really matter if they are genetically "perfect"?

I also have an Amel. As far as I know, she's just a plain old Albino. I have no idea if she has any other genes or hets, and I may never find out. She was my first snake, and I bought her because she is beautiful and about as "friendly" as a snake could probably be. She actually seems to enjoy being held and interacting with her "humans". I don't care if she is a ERO or a mutt, she is PERFECT in my eyes :D

I haven't been here long, but from everything I have read, I would trust the opinions of the breeders who frequent this forum to know one color from another with one eye closed. If they say she is an Albino, then she most likely is. And there is NOTHING wrong with that! She is a beautiful snake regardless :)

As for putting her in with your King... as any human/scale/fur/feather Mom or Dad will tell you, it only takes a second for an accident to happen. I'm very glad your girl is safe, and you may be right, perhaps nothing would happen in the future...

But tempting fate is NEVER a good idea ;)

Enjoy your scalebabies, and keep them safe so you can keep enjoying them for years to come ^_^

(PS - Your ERO's are spectacular Steve! :D)

I also have one of Steve's ERO and I must say they are incredibly stunning! I huge white borders are what make them extreme and my little girl, Eowyn, has just the most amazing pattern.

Thank you Steve!

Agreed! It sure sounded like you were offended that someone called your snake an albino. I have an albino, amel, RO, too. He is gorgeous and getting nicer every day. He came from a clutch of EROs that didn't exactly make the grade of ERO, and was priced less because of it. I prefer ROs to EROs, personally, but I get why they are more pricey. It's a harder target to hit, I'd imagine! The ERO baby in this thread is very extreme!!

Wow I just bought an extrame reverse okeetee at the reptile show here in Tampa for $45 and you want $125........ hhhhmmmmmm...plus shipping. Just saying its a little steep. And by the way she is a beautiful snake as well.
Clearly, you do not know the breeder you are addressing. As pointed out, he's well known for producing the best ERO's.
If you stick around in the Cornsnake world (not just on this forum) you will learn who the "big dog" breeders are. They are known for years & years of breeding, to produce the animals that they do.

She is a pretty Amel, RO even. But definitely not a ERO.
Well i think my snake is much prettier that that one. That has no red and almost no orange. its very dull. My colors are so much more vibrant!!.
And for the typical part : You people who love to take any opportunity to try to look important and tell everyone what they are doing wrong are hilarious. If you could pay attention and look, you would see that those snakes are in a very small container with nothing in it. No water, no substrate, no hide..... I put those snakes it that container so that I could take pics and show off the colors and just have a really cool picture. The snakes were in there long enough to take 3 pics. Then they went in their own home. If you just ask instead of shooting volleys at people immediately you wouldn't sound so condescending. So instead of giving all the reasons why its wrong, just ask if they stay together or how long they were there and maybe you would learn something instead of trying to look important!!!!
If you knew/know snake species, you would know that Kingsnakes are known for eating other snakes. That's what they do. Google it. Kingsnakes even eat Rattle snakes.
The people who commented are doing so because they care for the well being of your Cornsnake.

That's the pot calling the kettle black. Your snake IS an Albino.

Steve, you continue to produce stellar ERO's!
Don't worry, if his/her Kingsnake eats her Cornsnake, he/she can contact you for an ERO. ;)
