Absolutely Heartbroken :-(

One of my babies got out this week (my cousin didn't shut the lid all the way). I have the snakes in the basement- my cat found the little one in the pantry. That is up the stairs, down two hallways and through the whole house.
So, don't necessarily assume that the little guy will be close.

I feel for you!! I would be absolutely devastated in your shoes. I hope that he/she turns up soon for you.

wow... how long did it take it to get there?

Naagas, at this point, it could be anywhere, but I hope not! This is a relatively small, old house with a lot of pets, just the right amount of people, and a bunch of old house stuff to deal with like the built-in cupboards and closets, old "places to nowhere" from before the house was moved to its current location, a lot of decorations to hide in/behind, bookshelves, display cabinets, furniture, etc. If the little one has got into the main part of the house, I doubt we'll ever see it again :-(.

I always hate it when i have a loose one...... I would check the living room area. when my hypo high white cali king got loose he always headed towards the living room. I wish you good luck and check the bathroom area ^^

I am really sorry about your snake getting loose. I myself had one get loose for over 2 weeks and I finally found it in a rug. Hidden in the corner very good. Have faith! I am sure you will find your snake.

Oh Christine...I am so sorry. Don't give up hope. Last year we had a little hatchling get lost soon after we got her. And a week later we found her downstairs under the frig! Actually my cat found her. He was sitting there staring at the frig and then out she popped. Luckily we were standing there when it happened or the kitty would have had a snack! Yesterday I had one of my hatchlings get out and it darted right into the closet! I was lucky to find it. I am praying you will find yours!!

Camby, this was a newborn hatchling, only a few days old.

Well, we removed everything from the snake room (including all the racks), and I do mean everything. We closely checked everything. Fine tooth comb and a magnifying lens close. Several times. Tore up a floorboard so Z could send his flashlight in and look around. Removed baseboard molding and looked behind it. It took days, but we are finally finished with that room.

And, no, the snake isn't there :-(. I have no clue where s/he is, but it is not in the snake room. I figure the likelihood of finding it is just about nil, now. Finding it alive is even less likely.

What inconsolable heartache I feel right now, I can't even express.

I really am sorry mrs z. I keep reading hoping that he/she has returned unscathed but I see there's no joy yet. I'll keep hoping for you. You're in my thoughts.

Was just thinking about you tonight, as I've got a 100g+ yearling on the loose somewhere right now. No idea how he squeezed out of his viv but hoping I find him soon. The cats were acting funny a few days ago, but the yearling crew was in their post feeding resting period and I had no reason to suspect an escapee. Enough about my guy though. Did you find even a trace of your baby?
