Well there are a lot of tech reasons they are over priced being a BIG reason and their advertising is SO deceptive, but I also had several encounters with the company that have left me bitter!

The one that hardened me into a full fledged apple hater is when they kept contacting my daughter without permission.

Some unknown person set up an account with apple except somehow my daughters email address was listed and we kept getting account emails from them (this is not apples fault but how they handled it is), I called them, and wrote them, and sent them letters and for months they did not fix it :angry01:. One rep even said "Well are you sure your daughter didn't set up this account and not tell you?" I was like YES I am sure! She is 5 (at the time) and cannot even read well enough to fill out the form correctly, and she certainly couldn't have made up a fake address in Georgia with an actual Georgia zip code. After months of contacting just about ever customer rep and every supervisor and every supervisors supervisor, I explained to them that I was going to contact my attorney because they were contacting my minor child without permission:realhot: but they still kept sending us updates about the account. I finally did have to have my attorney write them a very threatening letter to get them to stop (something about harassing a minor child and continued contact with a minor despite the parent/legal guardians objection). It was that experience that really hardened my opinions of them.

Now I am so anti apple that it is a joke amongst my friends that hating apple is the foundation of my marriage LOL. Apparently the deal is that if my husband doesn't bring home any apple products I will keep him, and in return if I do not bring home any apple products then he will you know keep me.
