Bella's Last Filly (LOTS of pics)

Jeez Nanci! You're sure asking alot... LOL just kidding! :p

Here is Bella's pedigree (or what I can find). She carries straight egyptian Al Khasma & Ansata bloodlines)

And Mishaal HP's. Mishaal is also a straight egyptian stallion of both Al Khasma, Ansata, and German bloodlines.

Sorry these aren't that inclusive (especially Mishaal's), but if you are that interested, then you can probably google any of the following foundation horses in their pedigrees and find more info. I have Bella's pedigree tracked back 15 generations to desertbred ancestors, but I didn't feel like typing them all out lol. This breeding has 3 seperate crosses to Ibn Monet El Nefous. So far, this seems to be a great cross!

Wow, Catherine. If she turns out anything like either mom or dad, the "Spunky One" (who is already gorgeous) will be one outstanding beauty! Amazing!

Catherine she is just stunning. I am a huge Arabian lover. I even have quite a few of the Egyptian Stud books. Always loved the Egyptian Arabian. In fact I would drool over old pics of *Morafic*.
I am so glad Belle is doing better & that she will be O.K.

Thanks Tim. I know its hard for you to look at horses right now, but I appreciate you checking out the new filly. She sure is a handful, but then again, aren't all arabians? You'd love Bella then. She's got that old world look to her... alot like the old foundation eqyptian studs.

Someday I will have my Arabian filly! :)
And I really am glad that Belle was able to recover from her surgery.
I wish everyday that my Kay Cee could have been saved. But the vet had no choice but to put my girl to sleep under the circumstances.

DYK I always dreamed of breeding Kay Cee to and Arabian.

I bet she would've made a great arab/paint foal... especially if she passed that palomino color to her babies!

Don't suppose you have any more pics of her to show off, do you? She's just such a pretty girl...

I can imagine an Arabian foal from Kay Cee would have been incredible.

Jynx, I'm looking up Arabic names, and I've found a couple good ones for BS (which doesn't sound so good as a nickname! Baby Sister is cute, BS...not so! lol). Here are some I've found....

Azizah, Aziza, Azeeza - Precious, cherished, beloved, dear
Baysan - to walk with pride
Fatin or Fatinah - Fascinating, captivating, alluring, enchanting
Humairah, Humayrah - Of reddish complexion; nickname the Prophet gave to his wife 'A'ishah
Jawharah - Jewel
Najibah, Najeeba - Distinguished; of noble birth
Ramziyah - Symbolic
Rayhanah - Aromatic sweet basil (My fave name!!)
Rihana - Sweet basil

Catherine I am going to make a remembrance album of Kay Cee to share with everyone. From her ultra-sound picture right up till her death. I have to take the photo's and have them scanned first onto a disk then I will make the album with the help of a friend.

Thank you for the compliment towards my Kay Cee. I think she would of made a beautiful half-arab foal too.

Thats the point! She's such a little snot that I think it fits perfectly lol! I don't call her that actually... its just an easier way to refer to her over the computer or when I'm talking about her to someone.

I've been wanting to name her after Bella in some way, and I keep finding myself go the "bint" route (bint means daughter of). Something like Bint Bella... something. I just can't figure out what "something" is. Its pathetic, I know, but when you go to such great lengths to preserve a certain bloodline...

Thanks for your help though! I like Ramziyah & Azizah... now if only they werent so long!

What an absolute precious darling of a foal, that gorgeous fine porcelaine look that belies the character and strength of arabs! She just knows how special she is! (That flagged tail has to be the cutest thing ever!)

What a great story, and gorgeous horses, too!

I have heard stories of various mammals producing milk for adopted offspring, but this is the first time I ever heard of a firsthand story.

I used to have a couple of half Arab mares back in the early '70s, and have missed them ever since. Horses are great - but a lot of work and expense. That's why I don't have any, lol!

Sure would be cool to see them someday. I visit my brother in Mesa sometimes - he is just across the highway from Apache Junction (near Meridian). Are you in that area?

I don't think she'd mind me chiming in - since she's offline now, Kathy... But Catherine lives just southeast of where I do... just north of I60 and east of the I60/202 junction. I'm still unsure of the Mesa/Apache Junction "border" but I would almost call where she lives "Apache Junction".

BUT... she just texted me... the horses are at her parents. LOL.

It is likely we will retire to that area eventually. Nice to know there are CS members already there!
