Coming Soon to my Backyard. Part Deux.

Gumbo is a goofy sounding (Dumbo) name like you'd give to a dog from the east coast. Like New Hampshire or Vermont area . . .

Boudain? How do you pronounce it?

Right now I'm leaning towards Duke or Odin, but don't have anything that I really really like yet. I'm kind of a "dog picks his name" kinda guy, so just playing with a list of names right now.

ROFLOL!!!

Duke or Odin sound like great names!

Another update today. 3 weeks old and this is their second meal of gruel. According to the breeder, they're 10x cleaner in this go around than the first!! :D

Thanks for looking,
D80

Got more pics from the breeder yesterday, but just did not have time to get them up and shared here. I barely have the time tonight. Not sure why, but this years start to the school year has been really hectic . . . I've got hunting pics to share too, but not sure if I'll get them up tonight or not. No kills, just time in the woods.

Thanks again for looking! 10 days to pickup date.

Taking a ride in the wagon. The whole litter. All 8 of them.

Quote from the breeder: "All those expensive toys, and they always choose the Cool Whip container!"

Just hangin' out. Look at those blue eyes!! They'll apparently start changing color at about 7 weeks and eventually end up a golden brown and match their coat.

Want . . . or need??! ;)

D80

Not need... Heck, I don't NEED cornsnakes! LOL. BUT, I do WANT them.

Heaven knows we don't have room or time for a dog. But seeing puppies sure does get ya right in the heart. LOL. I love dogs... I'm just not a good "keeper of dogs".

You're gonna need to have a nice progression thread after you pick out your pup, Brent!

Where is the rest of the dog? Looks like you are missing parts of them.

Bass Pro Shop?! Seriously?! You're not my friend anymore. Cabela's is the ONLY store to buy hunting supplies from. THE ONLY STORE!

I will stop hunting before I spend a penny with cabela's again. Ever. They've earned a life long grudge from me: http://www.armslocker.com/forums/showpost.php?p=105233&postcount=1

Boudain? How do you pronounce it?

Boo-Da (as in the name Dan without the N.) It actually has a little of a throaty sound to the "da", but I can't figure out how to spell that. There is also no A in Boudin, you silly yankees. Mike spells it that way (he's as bad as a yankee) because he is from Texas. Texas, except the SE part, spells it with an "a" because (1) they are just plain ignorant about this stuff and (2) it sounds like it has an A so they think it must have one!

It's Boudin, and never pronounce the N. Ever.

Pups look good Brent. It is to bad about the eye though, those blues are killer.

KJ, ok ok, you can have a puppy if and when I breed my two, but the tail will be docked and the dew claws will be removed first. :crying:

I've never seen anything wrong with tail docking or dew claw removal. Especially dew claw removal, as it can in the end prevent much damage to the dog who may be in the field and gets their dew claw caught on something out there.
Tail docking I've heard(not sure if it's fact or not) if done with in 3 days of birth really doesn't cause the pups any pain because the nerve endings have not developed into the tail yet.
The only alteration I disagree with is ear cropping, but that's another thread that I"m not wanting to start........lol

Agreed.

Brent here is a close up of Jaz, just so people can get an idea what their eyes will look like.
