nice snake dude but not very kool how you lifted him out of the tank and then let him drop back in (with a bit of a thud). Just give him the mouse and then release it to him instead of picking him up on the tongues!

Nice snake though, i have an amel, i think ther awsome!
 
sorry i should have stated that was for the 'corn snake feeding vid', i didnt watch any of the others.
 
David, one thing I can say is that your speaking is getting much better on your videos. However, it's unrealistic for you to post them and not expect any type of critique. That corn snake vid kind of made me sick to watch. That was one heck of a drop you gave him. I'm hoping that's not how he's typically fed? (not referring to the prey item) Some people (unfortunately) look at youtube videos for informational purposes. Your snake is not "sort of brumating because it is winter." That could easily give someone the wrong impression of what brumation is all about, especially someone who's never done it before. I'd hate to see folks feeding snakes MUCH LESS the required amount for their body size because it's winter. Snakes can go off feeds in winter, but that's definitely not the case for yours in that vid.

I looked at some your videos but to be honest. I had to stop because they are hard to watch. They lack interest to me and were done in a "grade school" manner. May I suggest switching to using Power Point viewer.
I'm not up on options that it has but a slide show might be better in your case.
 
Okay i fed the snake a fuzzy because 1 week before the snake expo when get my mice I only have fuzzys and pinkies not my Sm, MD, and LG mice

David, I watched two of your videos and had a few comments...

The cornsnake eating the fuzzy one made me worry for your snake. Like others have voiced, what happens if new snake owners see that video and think that that is how snakes should be fed?

the black rat one was ok... It's a pretty snake but your camera swinging around made me really dizzy.

Lastly, please, please, please, change your spelling from "watcing" to "watching" at the very end of your videos. Spelling correctly is a step toward earning respect...
 
I'd keep a very watchful eye on that corn and look for signs of closed head injury.
 
I watched the pacman video, because I miss my Grendel. I'd suggest getting the focus set up and using a tripod would make the feeding sequence look better.

But seriously, do you watch your own videos?
Do you think that they are done in a professional manner where you can use them in an educational format?
It seems you have a desirer to share your love of this hobby with others. Which is fanatic but you must presented the videos in a high quality manner to keep the viewers attention, be informative an don't degrade the hobby. You should exert as much energy into the quality of the videos as you do for the love of your animals. Otherwise, you are doing more harm than good. As you have seen, not many people comment on your "video" threads. For you have ask for no negativity. But have you receive much positive comments? Which leads me to believe that I am not the only one who thinks that the videos could use some improvements? If you want to be taken seriously by this corn snake community. Give us quality. Not a Youtube, look alike, throw together, amateur video which portarys this hobby poorly.

You know, you post this garbage here. then when someone gives you an honest opinion because you are asking for it you get all upset.

If this was a class room you would get a C- for your work and a D- for your behavior. Many people here are really being super nice but seriously no one cares about your stuff that you keep on posting every 20 minutes on.

If you want to see entertaining and videos that help the newbs.. watch Snake Bytes This will give you a very good idea on how do a herp video.

But you handle your snakes to rough. Its not just in your corn snake video but your animals are not comfortable with you at all as the video shows.

To be honest, i am finding you to be a spoiled little kid whose parents buy your affection but not giving you any real attention.
 
Trickster pup my parents are non of your business wanna know why my behavior is bad here I have to be on the defensive all the time because people like you have to be here your an adult and have never ever met me before. I have a single mother who loves me enought to alloww me to have the animals I love. The animals I want a career with and you know what I'm sure that you have you a nice side but I don't see it. My dad walked out on my family when I was 8 and my brother was 6. I found a hobby to love and if you have a problem wiht that then I don't know what to say. I have a nice side but after a bad divorce and being bullied until 9th grade then go ahead tell me I should be a peachy nice person. My life has though me to stand up for my beliefs. So if you feel the need to tell me i'm spoiled thats your issue. Not mine. My mother loves my animals and loves me and my brother. I see that I come accross as a little brat with to much but ya know what I am a kid I now have doubts you were ever there. I don't have an excellent video camera and I don't have a good tripod. I'm gonna keep gettin snakes as long as I live. So please tell me I'm spoiled. COme on I dare you to say that after you read what I have been through in my life. Yesterday I confronted my dad about the divorce and he would not take ownership of what he did. I am still bullied for my hobby on this forum only tho. All my other forums enjoy my company. I am bullied now by adults on a internet forum. I have tried to make a better person of myself here. I obviously have failed. And trickster pup I find you as a lonley 45 year old person who has 40+ snaeks but instead of striving to do little things to make them have a better captive life you sit on an internet forum and call a kid you don't know anything about spioled and say his parents don't give him attention. That is not true in the least bit. So next time you post think do I really know David. Or ami making ASSumptions
 
Whoa now! So your pretty much saying that those of us who "sit" on this forum are not caring for our snakes?! 'Cause buddy that is just absolute bull! I'm sure Tricksterpup's snakes are very well cared for as are mine! I think everybody was being pretty kind in giving you some criticism on how you were handling some things in the videos. Obviously you don't take criticism well or your response wouldn't have been "Don't watch them, then". You do understand that by constantly posting links to your videos you are going to get feedback on them whether it's good or bad.
As for your life story.......I'm really sorry that you've gone through so much, but, lots of us here have been through just as much if not worse and yet we do not ever use it as an excuse! You're starting sound just like another former member here and that rubs me the wrong way. And of course, none of us really "know" you. I've never met you certainly but your attitude wouldn't make me want to meet you and "know" you.

My parents got divorced when I was one and my mother worked 3 jobs to support me and my sister. I was teased, picked on and bullied from preschool till the day I graduated high school. I went through a lot of terrible things, I was depressed from 7th grade on. For the past 2 years I have been sick and in and out of doctors and the hospital. Trust me my life is a lot worse then your's but never once have I acted like you and I don't treat people rudely because I had a bad life. You take everything as a personal attack. I believe your mother loves you very much but that isn't the issue, the issue is you think you know everything. It is great that you love your animals and that you want to make videos to help others, but you are still a beginner and have a lot to learn still. When other beginners see your videos with they will think everything you say and do is right when somethings you say are not correct. I have been working with reptiles for 8 years and I'm still a beginner and when I am wrong and someone corrects me I admit I am and fix it. People have made suggestions to you and have tried to help you but you ignore their advice and insult them instead. I try to be nice to people even when they tick me off but your really getting on my nerves. You want people to take you seriously and I know that feeling I'm 20(look like I'm 15) and I try very hard to be taking seriously and earn respect but that is very difficult to do with you because of the way you act. You say you have a nice side well try showing it and you'll get a lot more respect. I would love to see you stay on this site and learn more and become a respected member but if your unwilling to learn or take other opinions then why are you still here?

And Tricksterpup is a good person from what I have experienced and was just saying what a lot of us were thinking.
 
I think he knows about as much about taking care of his snakes as he does operating his video camera. I wish my mommy would buy me a video camera and some snakes!
 
What is with this compulsion to pollute the internet with badly done videos that do absolutely NOTHING to enlighten or educate anybody?

David, this hobby does not need a self-appointed "spokesman" such as yourself. These videos do nothing but cast this hobby in a bad light. Why are you so rough with these animals you say you love?
