Yeah Wayne, I know. He did this last time too. If I did not have so much energy I probably would have ignored his incredibly stupid posts long before now, but we can't have the newbies coming on thinking this one knows what he's talking about.

I don't like people who are needlessly cruel to animals and don't care if their snakes get hurt.
YOU are needlessly cruel to animals, and YOU don't care if your snakes get hurt.
So, yes, everytime you say something, you need to be "corrected", because everything you say is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Actually, many intestinal parasites that affects mammals can also affect reptiles. I did a paper on it for my vet tech program.

To everone who is against feeding live mice. I have two corns for 3 yrs. they both accept live or f/t. I feed them mostly live because the pet store is right around the corner and they don`t have f/t. I have had f/t that I accidently dropped on the floor and exploded into mush. You never know how fresh they are. I also think live mice keep the snakes muscles strong by constricting.. If you have a healthy strong snake the mouse will not even know what hit him before he is dead. Its just as cruel to kill a mouse either way. They don`t have a chance to bite. Rats on the other hand will bite if constricted. I have never seen any damage to my snakes..

1) I know the quality of my f/t, I know the breeder. I know what she feeds her mice, I know she has a large turn-over, I know how her mice are kept. I'd love to know exactly how a mouse can "explode into mush" just by being dropped, and how it could be in such an advanced state of de-comp without being visually noticeable, and have the strong odor of rotting flesh.

2) My snakes constrict just fine, the magical-flying-zombie mice on the end of the feeding tongs need to be killed dead, don't you know. My snakes are quite muscular, actually, but I think this has more to do with their awesome climbing structures in-viv and the fact I take them out a few times a week.

3) It's never a problem until it's a problem; didn't someone say they know a guy who drives drunk and never had an accident? Same logic (or lack there of)

No benefit for the snake, risk of getting bitten & getting infected/loosing an eye. No thank you.

Because you have fed live, you should take your snakes to the vet regularly to get dewormed, as well as submit fecal samples in order to look for other parasitic organism.
