I wouldn't be, you can't please everyone. Although next time you make a poll please be sure to add kastanie lavender (no matter what the poll may be), then I'll be happy, always make sure I'm happy, then you need not worry about anything else.

How do you get a short "a" sound out of double "ee"?

EE says "ee" as in See. It does not say "a" as in Ah.

Okeetee = O-kee-tee, not O-ka-tee.

I have never understood how anyone can confuse this.
 
I had always said okee tee as well until I heard Kathy say okatee. If that is the way Kathy says it then it is right. lol

The amel form is not a guaranteed Okeetee though. Reverse Okeetee is the name of a "look", they do not necessarily contain any true Okeetee locality genetics.

I am not trying to be irritating here - I promise.

I just find it extremely interesting how so many people take a Double E and get anything but a Long E sound out of it.
