fight'n friday. would you tell your kid to go to school and fight??

so today was fight'n friday for me. got into a fight and taken to jail.

all started last week


kid keyed my truck and admitted it to my friends so why friends told me.

he seen me in the hallway and said do you like the key marks??

well i went home told my mom i called police and had report. of course lansing's finest said we cant do anything even though he admitted it to your face! i gave them the address and they went and talked to him. he denied everything.

well he keyed my truck again last night so my mom told me to go to school and put this kid on his butt. so i did and the police came and took me away until my mom picked me up. im suspended for 10 days and got a 700 dollar ticket. the kid was taken away by the ambulance and i had cracked his eye socket (the bone under his eye) is slightly cracked and he had bloody nose.

i have cuts on my hands because i missed the second hit cause he ducked and i hit the bleachers (this happened in gym) the dean wanted me out for longer because i am appearently "dangerous" because i started it by pulling his hoodie over his face and hitting him 3 times then pulled the hoody off and hit him in the eye and the nose.

im just loving the ticket. 700 american big ones. but this kid is getting taken to court with me and has 1000 dollar ticket and he has to pay for the damage to my truck whatever the shop i go to estimates. he actually admitted to the cops he keyed my truck. so it worked out for the best. (he had to admitt because the cops said fights dont happen for no reason) and since my deean and the cops didnt do anything the first time they kind of paid me back for giving me less suspension and less ticket and money for my truck.

cops even said he deserved it.

but as a parent would you tell your kid to go to school and fight?
 
Jason... was it worth it to spend $700 over some snot nosed little sh** keying your car? I understand that you'd be HUGELY pissed, but what were you expecting to happen, especially if you fought him on school grounds? The smarter thing to do, if you felt you HAD to fight him, was to do it away from school. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20. Sorry you went through all that.
 
If I were a parent I would intervene myself first but it would depend on the situation. I think it's stupid that it's okay to wadge war on other countries but we get finned for a domestic dispute so lame. Btw bone under his eye would be the maxilla or to the side of the eye is the zygotic, if it was on the nose side of his eye it would be a nasal bone. Yey I learned something in Anatomy.
 
lexie i had ot fight on school ground no other way to do it. last time he said he would fight me in the forest... never showed up.

but its ok i can pay the ticket easy :)


kelsie- i warned my dean to keep us apart. well she didnt listen and if she would have none of this would have happened
 
im in high school.

i do have a job and my girl friend ihave been with soo long she is like my wife lol
 
"but its ok i can pay the ticket easy". $700 is no big deal, but you could have fixed the scratches for a fraction of that price, as well as used wisdom, and tried to find proof to hold the perpetrator responsible.

This was foolish. Both your mother and you should have thought this out much better, and realized that getting into fisticuffs over this was the worst idea. On top of that, if indeed you're truly 18, this was even more foolish. You can and will go to jail if you continue with outbursts of violence, and perhaps then you'll realize what responsibility comes with adulthood.
 
i realize. but the damage was too much for me to afford over 1500 dollars in key marks would have had to be fixed. already took it to shop for estimate. i know what i did and i thought of consequences. i know they come with adulthood. im not worried about it really. thats my first offence
 
The fact is... No, you didn't think of the consequences. Did this fix your truck? No! So whether fixing the scratches costs $15, or $1,500, you still have to pay an additional $700 for your ticket. And should you have really injured him, you'd be responsible for his hospital bills on top of that. Now, even if you find this person guilty, it will come out in the wash, because you made the irresponsible decision to attack somebody over this.
 
Sounds like you were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Cant say I would of done anything different myself. Sometimes people dont (or wont) get a message until it is knocked into them. Hope things settle out now and you wont be forced into fighting anymore, but I feel where you are coming from what info you have given of the situation. Nice work with the dudes hoody haha!!! You must be a hockey player or fan :)
 
lol no im not and and michael my marine recruiter is getting my ticket waived and the kid does have to pay ot get my truck fixed. so yes it is fixing my truck

I seem to recall a product hawked by a certain loud salesman that fixes scratches for next to nothing. It would have been better to take him to court for the damages. With as many witnesses as you state there were to his admission of guilt, I don't think you would have had a problem getting him to pay damages.

I would never tell my child to go kick someone's butt, but I would support them once the consquences started to add up. My mother would tell us that she would always love us, she may not like what we had done, but she would always love us.

Personally, I think it was a stupid thing to do that only an 18 year old male would brag about, but what's done is done. Beware, now that you're an adult, these things can go on your record and can prevent you from getting good jobs and more. It may not seem a big deal now, but its incredible how something this petty can come back to bite you in the future.
 
yea yea yea and im not braggin asking for inputs. i already know "your and adult now and this can... blah blah blah" i know believe me
