First hook-ups for me!!

I was the same way after the first clutch last year. It does pay off. I wasn't going to do it this year because of some health problems but I just couldn't do it. I mean I already have enough pinkies in the freezer to last me for 6 months if they all hatch. And my husband can handle 1 clutch if need be. I think no matter how much it costs, the sleepless nights full of weird dreams, stress, panic attacks, gray hair and whatever other side affects I missed. I still think it is worth it.

But I guess I am with you in the crazy department.
 
aww.. i was waiting to see your gummy snakes eat the gummy mice! next time i see those ill have to garb one and snap pics for you..

i love this thread so much i had my husband take the child outside so i could read the whole thing! lol... well i hope if my first clutch that we are working on right now has a problem i will be able to get help like you did...

cant wait to see your pips, ugh now IM excited for you! geesh =]
 
LOL..hey dont give up...the "gummi Snake Eggs" have to incubate ya know!! :) As far as getting help.....Thats why this forum is here!!! You'll get all the help you can handle...trust me.
 
44 days! cant wait

mine just had there first "encounter" yesterday.. ok i think they did it twice, my male was like a little horn doggy.. but i know at least once so yea.. now im waiting to put them in again.. ugh this is worse then waiting for an ultra sound when i was preggers! =] and its just the beginning. do doo do i guess ill just keep cleaning the house to stop thinking about if she is with egg now! ugh a few more encounters and im sure there will be eggs..
 
ugh i know! im going to be the same way ill try to keep busy with the child and going to the upcoming reptile showss.. but i dont think its going to work very well.. i might need to plant a bigger garden so ill have more weeds to pull to keep me busy *shrugs*

Garden?? someone say garden?? LOL I'll have canteloupe,watermelon,Cucumbers,Habenero's, Bhut Jolokia peppers. And Probably a few pumpkins for the fall.

yea right now we have
* lettuce 29 plants!
* spinach 12 plants
*watermelon
*Pumpkins
*cucumber
*pablanos, jalapenos, sweet yellow bells, green bells, green chiles, fooled yous, Anaheims, sweet cherry ?? think thats it that my husbands section yuck!
*4 tomatoes, a cool black cherry tomato that i hope starts to bloom soon
* beets
*radishes
*corn
*and a crap ton of onions
 
I'm thinking I'm gonna have to skip the garden this year (Sorry Honey..Sorry Kids).....Hatchlings are the only thing on my mind at this point.
 
haha, yea totally understandable! im still thinking about my snakes making enough WOOPIE so we will have some too this year! she goes in again tonight for a little bit of a love session!
is it true that when she gravid so wont want to mate anymore? i read that somewhere but i didnt know if it was for sure?!
 
Was true for me...I just kept putting him & her together...If they haven't gotten it going within 10minutes or so...I seperated....Once i left them together for like an hour (the first time)....But since then...if she doesnt accept within 10 minutes or so....i'd seperate. But yes, she will flat REFUSE him if she's gravid. She may also stop eating..or at least Slow down.
 
awww ok, well it took her about 2hrs the first time to do it! but she was a newbie and he was a old pro and so there was a want from him but she was scared for a while.. but then i saw it happen i was good job girl get what you deserve! lol

so did you still feed on a normal sch. or did you change it to feed more or what! i wanna make sure shes getting enough chow to carry all those eggs
