Foods you miss...

Ares, there's a place in New York City called Pomme Frites and all they sell are Belgian style fries with authentic tasting sauces. If you ever find yourself out there, it might be worth a try, and you won't have to cross an ocean. They are fantastic, by the way.

I was going to mention this! I remember seeing the Pommes Frites in NYC on some show a few years ago. I can't remember what show (probably some foodie show), but I have always remembered this place because it looked/sounded so good! I have not made it to NY yet, but when I do I have to go there.

Sunshine brand Custard Cookies. I LOVED those things!

Also, when I spent a summer in the UK, we could get doughnuts from their Safeway stores that they called "American Style Toffee Doughnuts". I've NEVER been able to get these doughnuts here in the states, anywhere, let alone Safeway, specifically! Those were to die for (and I probably would have eaten myself to death if we had them here! LOL!).
