"Forget the Snakes! What do YOU look like?"

Wow, thanks, all! I made the dress, and it was without a doubt the most time-consuming part of the wedding planning. I'm not home right now, but I'll put up a couple more pictures when I get back, if you like.

I got the ring in a shop in Seattle. I don't remember the name, but I believe it was on Broadway. (That's that main street in Capitol Hill, yes?)

Very cool. I think mine came from a group called "10,000 villages" they specialize in importing fair trade goods/crafts. I got it before I even owned my first snake...lol

By request, a couple more wedding pictures. By the way, I ended up picking up Whisper, my first snake, on our first anniversary. It wasn't intentional, but that was a hell of an anniversary present! :D

This shot features my lovely husband as well as myself. We had a rather nontraditional wedding, as you might have gathered from the dress itself. We started off by telling the story of our meeting and courtship, and this shot was taken, I guess, when we were trying to remember some detail or other.

The Big Moment, I suppose:

And this is me taking a glorious moment to celebrate the fact that I NEVER HAVE TO PLAN A WEDDING AGAIN. (I am not much of an Event Planner.)

Incidentally, we had gotten the legal part taken care of at the courthouse in January, when his insurance suddenly changed and it became several hundred dollars' worth of A Good Idea not to wait on the formalities. That part was rather a last-minute decision, though of course we had been engaged for more than a year, so we weren't very fancy, but this is us as *official* newlyweds:

So there is that!

Well, since we're doing weddings ...

I'll add another from one of my cousin's themed wedding. This one had all the cousins that were in attendance, I'm on the end in the red outfit standing next to the Best Man, the Groom, his brother on the other side and another cousin on the end.

I can NOT believe that this September will be this threads 3 years running!!! Great idea Vikki! I, like everyone else LOVE putting faces to the names and although I'm not officially a snake owner yet, I will be very soon!! I don't normally do this, but for some reason I just feel compelled to share. Sorry about it being so grainy (taken with a cell)...
