hey, baby. what's yr name?

There was a thread about mine back when...

Anyway, Eremita (your pronunciation is as good as mine) was the nom de plume used for the book Either/Or, and it seemed fitting to use a pen name for an alternate-name-under-which-I-write while subtly referencing a major interest of mine (i.e., philosophy).

Mine's Kilala. A friend of mine loves Inuyasha, so... yeah. I liked the sound of the giant kitty's name.

Nice. Since I'm left-eyed, I would've had to go with jazzgeekBPS.

And I assume it is fairly easy to get the pronounciation of my name... ty-fly-er...
. . . and here I thought it was tifler, rhymes with Stifler. :grin01:

Mine's after my favorite fantasy character Drizzt Do'Urden and since there's so many that used the same nick way back in the early 90's when I first experienced the internet I added 80 for Cris Carter's (wide receiver, NFL) # with the Vikings. Been using it since.

I went with jazzgeek because "I'mIntoTallBuxomBigLippedRedheads" has too many characters and doesn't roll off the tongue too well.)

Now that's too damm funny :roflmao:

I went with Lenny because that's the name of my first snake.

Now I got to go and change my pants.

I use to belong to this art board, and my name there was Very_Various. Then the board got rebooted, and I changed to V_Various since everyone there shortened my my name to "v" when they were talking about me anyway. And I like having the same icon/name on the various boards I'm on (most, anyway). Weird, I guess it's kind of my fake internet-identity.

There was no reason for it, I always was rather uncreative when it came to names. Amel boy, for example. What was I thinking.

Lots of interesting stories - I laughed over quite a few of them.

I'm afraid there was nothing special about my name. I just lack sanity, and I used to always use the signature 'Insanity is inherited - you get it from your children' and seeing as how I've got children it seemed to fit perfectly. I use it on nearly all the forums that I'm a member of and even on my live journal.

I could have gone with just Insane One, but it seemed to androgynous so I added the Mrs. Of course, Crazy Lady would have worked just as well, but it was so less dignified that I thought I'd be made a laughing stock.

Anyway.. that's all there is to it.

I'm Nanci, and I'm left-eyed, but being a stubborn redhead, I shoot right-eyed/right-handed.

well my name is tanner and i thought that 123 just gave it the extra umph it needed to be more exciting........not really

It goes back to my teenage years, back in my dorky times. I used to play RPGs, and I went by Lady Oriental (cause I am part chinese). As I got older, I didn't want to play on the race, so I changed it to LadyOh, and added the H for Heather, but it kinda rings anyway. Ohhhh! :)

My GUY forum friends scream out "Ohhhhhh!!!!" when I walk by. (sexually perverse sounds, of course)

So therefore I am LadyOhh, and I kinda flip it around to make it "Ohh, what a Lady."

Which I am.

So there you go.

It doesn't make as much sense as some others out there, but it is my history, and I have kept it.

At the race track I was originally known as "The Green Giant" or greengiantgene
My Racecar and Driving suit are GREEN and I'm 6'6" 360... so....
Over the years it's just been shortened to DaGiant.. We just get lazy after awhile.. LOL
