i need some advice help :(

Dark Smoke....I can not stress this enough

1) Start with the smallest pinkie but only half of it, just buy the pinkies and freeze them, PLEASE do this for at least 4 meals(that is only 2 pinkie you have to freeze and thaw), he has regurges too many times, and he is really really in a very dangerous spot right now.
2) Then move to 6 meals of the smallest pinkies spaced 7 days apart
3) Then move to 6 meals of 2 of the smallest pinkies spaced 7 days apart
4) Then move to the smallest peach fuzzy, this is a fuzzy that is just getting a thin coating of hair should only weigh about 5 grams, 6 meals of these spaced 7 days apart
5) Then move to regular fuzzies, about 7 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart
6) Then move to small hoppers, about 9 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart
7) Then move to regular hoppers, about 11 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart
8) Then weanlings about 13 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart
9) Then weanlings about 15-16 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart
10) Then sub- adults about 17-18 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart
11) Then adults about 20 grams, 6 meals spaced 7 days apart

This all is only good IF he does not regurge again and IF he gains weight to fit into the categories listed in the Munson Plan I will give you below. I say this because this snake needs very slow and steady. If it takes more than 6 meals to get to a new weight category that suggests the next size of mouse than do not move up until your snake weighs the minimum weight in that category. AND if your snake gets to a weight before the 6 meals are fed DO NOT move up until he has had the 6 meals at the smaller size and kept them down!

I can not stress enough, correct temps and correct regurge feeding HAVE to be followed if you wish to save your snakes live.

The Munson Plan (Sample Feeding Chart): Revised 06/08/08
For this you will need a digital weigh scale that will weigh in 1 grams increments.
-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 6-7 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+) See below.

Note: Adult females are fed more frequently than adult males (especially following brumation). Adult females are fed every 7-12 days; adult males are fed every 11-14 days.

I don't understand one thing tough , how first you told me to give him pinkies , then when you discovered i feed live you told me to switch to f/t and start giving him halfs. anyway, i will feed the smalles pinky i will find and yeah they are always available at the petshop here a little bigger then the snakes head ( about 5cm - 7cm pinks ). temps are good now so if he had kept down bigger pinkeis then this with bad temps he should keep smaller ones with better temps. if an other regurg occurs i will give him a trip to the vet. can't waste more money on other stuff since im not with a handfull of money and the vet will only charge me 10euros for the visit. cheers for everyone that helped :)

DarkSmoke I had actually assumed that you were feeding f/t in the first place and it was just fluke that it took until now for me to realize just how many times your snake has regurged and that really it should start over with 1/2 pinkies (or pinkie heads as Kathy Love said).

I never did tell you to switch to f/t just to freeze the first two pinks so that the first 4 feeds could be 1/2 a pinkie. My personal opinion is that feeding f/t is better but right now I really could careless if you feed f/t or live until you can get the temps right and follow the regurge protocol properly so that he stops regurging and will live. Like I said my concern right now is to help you to keep your snake alive!!

Very small, live pinks would be fine for a snake that regurged once, maybe twice. But it gets more serious after that, and half pinks or just heads are needed for multi regurgers. Pinks don't come that small, AND the open innards of cut pinks will allow the digestive juices to IMMEDIATELY start doing their work, making digestion quicker, and less likely to fail for problem snakes.

Wow, I just wanted to say, you guys are all very very kind, offering such great advice to someone in need. This board is a great place to be :)

Good post!

That's what forums like this are supposed to be about. Unfortunatly, there will be the odd person who is not as polite but really in the end the majority have two main goals in mind.

Help the snakes have a good life by helping the owner learn what they need to by supporting them any way we can(ie: support and learn from each other).

anyway, i will feed the smalles pinky i will find and yeah they are always available at the petshop here a little bigger then the snakes head ( about 5cm - 7cm pinks ).

Hi,

can you weight the pinks you are feeding your snake?
because 5 to 7cm pinks seems quite big to me. I'm feeding my snake 'pinks' that are 5 cm long (without the tail) and they weight something like 6g.
Try to find one day old pinks are very very small and are weighting from 2 to 3 grams.

Good luck!

According to rodentpro.com, pinkies are no longer pinkies after 3 grams, and about 1.25 inches. 5cm is about 2 inches, so we are now nearing fuzzies and even hoppers based on their measurements:

sorry i meant 5mm. and yes a 5cm mouse wouldn't be a pinky anymore. anyway i decided to give half pinkies for the first 6feedings. i will switch back to live later if the snake won't regurg/will survive after my last try in the regurg protocol.

DarkSmoke that is so good to hear, like I said before my concern is for your snake and you right now, and yes my personal opinion is ft thawed for many reasons but that is not the issue right now, right now I would just like to see you be able to save your snake and bring him back to health!! Truly he does need the tiny meals and f/t will allow you to do that. Good luck and do keep us posted.

Ok so here we go, 10 day wait GREAT
1/2 a pinkie GREAT

Now it is a waiting game to see if he will keep it down and then 3 more 1/2 pinkies spaced at 7 days apart, so if he does not regurge next 1/2 pinkie is on Jan 28/10. I will keep my fingers crossed for your snake (Blaze?). Let us know what happens.

I hope you get the little guy up and feeling better. Just keep on doing what everyone has said here and you should be alright. Just don't get impatient, if you do, it could cost your snake its life.

yeah his name is Blaze. impatience is the list of my problem since im too much relaxed. well i hope there won't be regurgs anymore now temps are good. so if things are as everyone said cause of bed temps, he should be good now.

so my corn pooped like 2days ago and today i looked and i think he regurged again :(
is it time for the vet since i have good temps now? :(
