• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Is this MySpace or CornSnakes

why do I need to be alerted that someone is my friend with a email. It would be nice to have a on/off tab. You know the thing that we used to have in America. One of the things that made this country so special. A Choice.

You're treading some dangerous waters there.... :eatsmiley :twohammer :bomb:

I don't think so. Its common sense, but maybe Ill have to start my own thread about it...

Ive never gotten an email asking for a friend request. So I have no idea what you are talking about.

Um, go to your UserCP, click Edit Options, and scroll down a little ways and there's an option that says "Receive Friendship Request E-mail". Just deselect the little checkbox and you're good to go!

Uh, you've always had a choice... You've got a few. Ignore and delete, reject, accept.

Turning off feature? I guess ignoring something by not clicking is just too hard...

Dude, there's really no reason to bring any animosity back to this topic. Vin had an opinion. He stated his opinion, and everyone else stated their own. People got rude, and than reigned themselves in and the topic has become jovial and entertaining. Why ruin that by bringing negativity back into it? It's really not necessary...

Granted I was a bit ''rude'' - but what's done is done. Imo people react the same way to others asking questions without researching so why is this any different?

This thread should have stopped after Rich clearly stated what was going on anyways.

Drizz I'm not going to be rude and tell people no. then they are going to think I dont like them.
Vin all I'm saying is that you're complaining about something that you obviously participated in. With your obvious distaste towards the function all you would have had to do was reject the friendship request and then send those two people a polite PM stating your reason why. If they're truly your friends (as you stated we all are) they would have understood . . . instead, you made the choice to accept the requests because you didn't want them to think you don't like them . . . that would be acceptance of the "drama". That was all I was saying, though not in so many words.

To each their own. I appreciate the people I've made connections with here at this site. I view the "friends" page as a way for me to easily get in touch with those people that I tend to regularly communicate with . . . regardless of any of the other ways to do it. It is what it is.

PS. I guess I can volunteer to be the monkey. I think it'd be fun to poo in a shoe.

Why should it stop? It's FUN! As I recall, the internet is supposed to fun. Part of the beauty of this forum is that most of us have the ability to just let it go, and have fun. When it got "noisy", we were asked to quiet down...and we did. What more should be done?:shrugs:

Obviously pointless spending my time reading/replying in here so have it your way.

I clicked the little box unsuscribing. Have fun.
