Vin I know you feel this feature isn't for you but think of the positive things it has brought... You and Rob in drag and Wade and Deano came out... Truly a friends thing....

Sure it's fair. We're all subject to the same limits. You could make a better case for unfairness concerning the perqs afforded paid members. But even that's not a matter of fairness, really. You can pay for the "edit" function, and I'm guessing that Rich would let you pay for a "disable" feature for the friend/buddy system too. If you send him the cost of having the programmer develop and implement it, he'll probably offer that "freedom."

I don't think this is necessary, but I can't stop you. It seems like a silly thing to protest, silently or otherwise. Everyone else seems to either enjoy the feature, or they don't care about it. How many resources should the site commit to creating the ideal forum experience for every member? :shrugs:

I miss the "jump forum" feature that was eliminated a few upgrades ago. But I can live without it.

I'm not quite sure that is the American Way Of Life ....
You can ignore any part of the bells and whistles that seem to annoy you. Don't go to your friend spot or use the visitor message system. Pretty simple.

But...the American Way of Life DOES give you choices and if you choose to not post or comment besides pictures and for sale ads....go for it!

And a comment on the American Way of Life....
Although the American Way of Life does grant you the Freedom of Speech...I wouldn't expect Rich to keep you around here if every post you made was derogatory to this site or the owner of this site. Some "rights" don't apply in places like this. I think I'd get banned pretty fast if I put Serpenco is horrible in my signature line! (And no, Serpenco is NOT horrible...just an example. I love Rich's animals and have many of them. Please don't ban me for my example.)

All over a silly function??? Well I guess that means those of us who are looking into buyin a snake or looking at pictures ALSO have the option of not looking at any of your posts or for sale adds even if there might be something of interest.

I can only speak for myself, but it sure seems your whining and child like antics will in the end prove to have a negative affect for you.

Good luck in whatever life brings your way. And hopefully after you have cooled down you will rethink what your doing.

Vinny, what can I say, I don't know you but... I really hope that you learn to put things in perspective or else you're bound to spend a whole deal of your life at being pissed over nothing. :/

I'm not going to feel sorry for you either. You do have the choice whether it's an acceptable choice for you or not. Just because you don't like the choices doesn't mean the choice doesn't exist. Bummer.
