Kenyan Sand Boa?

40 mins away from me would be..... Nothing. Literally nothing. Miles and miles and miles of wilderness. The next town over is really Anchorage, or the Valley area, and its 350 miles. The next city? Calgary or Seattle, about 2000 miles (or 48 hours of driving). I love it at times, hate it at others.

Hey, your forgetting North Pole :p isnt that like only 20 miles away?

20 miles (actually 15) is less than 40 :) Once I go 40 there is nothing. I guess Nenanna is a little more than 40 south, but I don't know if that qualifies as "something". I actually work in North Pole. I do find the candy cane stripped light poles annoying (Seriously people? I thought we were adults here).

Did you see the sad 40 foot tall Santa with his penned in reindeer? Poor reindeer (though they make great sausage).

I bought the under tank heaters and therostat off Amazon tonight. I guess that means I'm serious? But have a surprisingly long wait until the shipping date, so I might have to hold off two weeks until I have the snakes shipped to me (can't risk the snakes getting here before their heaters).

You really would save alot on shipping, and all of his snakes are exceptional. His facility is very nice, and he takes great care of all of them...
Don't take all his hoggies though, I've been considering one ;)

But what I want out of the hognose is the ability to own/breed an axanthic. That would take a lot of 50% het snakes, and a lot of frustrating, unfruitful breeding to find two individuals that were het.

Santa's shop has a strange arrangement of ornaments. Huge shop, not a single one with a cat on it, doesn't make any sense. They have some really strange ones.

At the reptile show yesterday, I talked to Jason for a while. I asked him what you had decided on, and he was suprised I knew about you contacting him! I told him I was on Cornsnakes.com and had been following the message thread! I saw some of his cute little hogs too...

Ah damn, I should have gone...I wasn't sure if he'd be there or not :(
He's a great guy isn't he? Don't know how busy he was there with customers, but usually he'll just sit and talk snakes FOREVER with you lol.

Is he the older short guy with white hair a goatee and mustache? Or the other one that was surrounded at all times by like 15 girls. Couldn't even look at his damn snakes.

Yep, that's the guy I was thinking of. He had a TON of sand boas. Just couldn't get to his table. lol.

I haven't gotten response to my reply, but that makes sense if he was at a show this weekend. Hopefully we can sort out what I am buying and ship soon, temps are dropping rapidly here. It snowed today, which is annoying. Later than usual, its been a warm fall, but the shipping window is disappearing. -40 is not a good temperature to ship snakes at.

I'm having 3 or 4 KSB shipped Wednesday! I'm so excited. I decided to buy a 2010 stripe het anery female, 2011 het anery female and a 2011 anery male. He mentioned he might throw in a 4th snake (normal 2011). I'll be up to my ears in snakes, but I'm really excited. Lots of interesting potential for the breeding. I'll be sure to post pictures when I am sure what snakes I am getting (I'm having him choose what he thinks are the best). Jason is a really wonderful guy to work with.

I have pictures of 2!

Female Stripe het Anery:

She is a 2010, but has been fed a little less so she would stay small enough to stay in hatchling containers. I'm hoping to have her and the male breeding in a year, but may need to wait two depending on their sizes. Either way I'm happy.

I also have a normal het anery (no picture) female and possibly an extra (probably normal and no hets) tossed in.

At least I only have to wait a day and a half now!

The male will probably be het Anery if I had to guess...he doesn't get many normals with no hets as by products from his breeding...he just may not wanna tell you (wink, wink) :)

That stripe is f-in' amazing!

The female is important size wise when breeding, the male needs to be mature too, but not nearly as big...it's funny, I got to see 2 of his locked up last year, and it looked like an earthworm mounting a ball python the size difference was so crazy lol...

Grats, and damn you for making me was KSB's again!
