Is Mason purebred? He looks like a kuvasz, or maybe a pyrenees cross?

We know he is a pyrenees. We are pretty sure he is purebred Great Pyrenees acually. He looks like a kuvasz but knowbody weve talked to has seen one as big as he is.

This is Raisin the Pug! He's my 10 month old black pug.

And this was Bear aka THE BEAST. We just had to put him down March 8th this year suddenly. He had cancer and we never knew it. He just collapsed and we rushed him to the vet and found out he was hemoraging. It was a very tearful goodbye....I loved that dog, he was just shy of his 8th birthday. That 125 lb teddy Bear.... R.I.P. I'm getting teary just thinking about it...

Hee hee, raisin is a great name for a black pug! The others are cuties too.

Here is sammy. He is a 3 month old Shih Tzu. The first pic is of him playing with my other dog shadow.

Connie- Riley is quite possibly the BEST looking Aussie I have ever seen in my life. She makes me want a tri-color and I really, really though I wanted a Blue merle. Love her, awesome girl you've got there.

This is Oliver, my mothers Scottish Terrier. As I will be "leaving the nest" soon I have been telling myself for a year now that Oliver is "my mothers dog, not mine," to keep from being sad about having to leave him.

Wow, this really is a very old thread... seems like it has made repeated come-backs though! lol... hmm... puppy pics.. puppy pics... we have to have some here somewheres... *goes to hunt*

Ok, I found the pics, but I had to crop them and then upload them. They aren't the best, but they are the only ones I have right now. I'll have to take updated ones of Blue, but Buddy is out of reach in Canada right now in needs of a strict diet.

Anyway, here's Blue - a mixed up pooch with a sweet personality who also happens to like to jump way too much. She's getting better about listening though.
blue.jpg

If she looks a bit sad in the pic it's because I wouldn't share my sandwich that day and I told her to go lay down. She took it personal.

And here is the big baby, Buddy. He's our youngest daughter's puppy. He looks fierce, but he's nothing more then a big pansy. He's half yellow lab and half pit-bull and all pushover. Currently he resides with the In-Laws up in Canada where he has been spoiled rotten.

Grandpa must have just opened a new box of peanut butter cookies cause Buddy's drolling and begging to be let in. lol

Oliver is a Scottish Terrier? I've never seen a white one. I would have guessed that he was a West Highland White Terrier (Westie).

Although...the more I look at him, the more his face looks like a Scotty.

Okay...I recently got some nice pics of my "babies" These are from the summer, and she is due to have some little ones in about 10 days. When they are born and I can get pics I will post some of them also. My two sweet Min Pin "babies" named from one of my favorite shows..Charmed. Sometimes I really do believe little Cole here really does have the devil in him. He really has a mischevious personality, whereas Phoebe is just a little baby who loves to be cuddled.

Yes, Oliver is a wheaten. There are three recognized colors- black, brindle and wheaten, and something like 90% of the scotties registered are blacks. They also do better in the ring b/c the judges are traditionalists and like the black.

Westies have a much rounder face if you see the two side-by-side. We had a Westie for 13 years while I was growing up. He was a sweet dog too.

Great info, thanks! I knew his face looked more like a scotty after I looked at him a bit more. I never realized that there were 3 accepted colors. :)

Great photos everyone!! I really enjoyed going through this thread. :D

Connie, I have a huge soft spot for Aussies. Yours are gorgeous!

This is Kia, a Husky/Cattle Dog mix I adopted from the local humane society in 2001. She just turned 8 this past June.

China the mastiff/great dane

THis is my dog China. Her mother was a Neapolitan Mastiff and her father was a Harlequin Great Dane. SHe is SUPERSIZED. I dont know exactly but she is about 150-175 lbs. I will have to get a picture of her next to my boyfriend for comparison. In this picture she is sitting by a 175 gallon tank. She is a sweetie but very protective. China is the DROOL MASTER. She flings it everywhere and I have to practically wash the walls once a week. The door in the picture is all scratched up from her trying to open it to lay on the waterbed since she thinks she is too good to lay on the floor. :grin01: Oh and yes she is a house dog.

Since I had the camera handy....

....for snake shots this morning, I figured I'd sneak one in of His Royal Goofiness. He normally doesn't get rawhide (he gets treated with pig ears), but hey, I've got budgetary considerations. ;)

This is his "move any closer and I'll move 4 feet away from you" look. Yes, that's a pile of bedsheets on the floor in the background - they're used as a dog bed, they're old and in tatters, and if I had the "real" dog bed on the floor (it's in the basement), he'd have an unusual relationship with it. :grin01:

regards,
jazz
