You shouldn't need anything under it to protect the shelf. If you want it though, just stick a layer of the foil tape down, then the heat pad, then cover the heat pad with the tape too...
 
Ok cool.
So I don't have a ton of money to spend on a thermostat...
So I was thinking about plugging in a rheostat...like 1 for every two shelves...
Or do you think this would be decent enough to control 5 or 6 shelves?
 
A lamp dimmer would be cheaper IMO... They only run at about 15-20 bucks where I live. I've been meaning to grab up some of those actually.
 
Yeah. My only worry was that the rack is going to be at my house and I'll only be able to check the temps on the weekends...along with other snake chores. So thats why I was considering a thermostat.

But maybe I can kindly ask my mother to monitor and adjust the rheostats as needed... :D
 
That's not a big thing to ask...if she is as cool as she was the other night, she will do that...

Nope...I took them all home last weekend and left them there. That way I don't have to haul them home over spring break along with all the other stuff I'm taking...
And I plan on keeping all 7 at the house...
Last day of school is April 28th, so I wont be too long without them. Besides I'll be there on the weekends.

It sure does suck this week with them not being here, though. :awcrap:
 
I'm a tired tired man. And I've only seen Court for like an hour in the last two days, and WE LIVE TOGETHER! That's bad...work sucks...and she started more college classes... :(
 
I gotta go grab some junk food from down the road...I'll be back in a bit...

If you guys are gone by then, have a good day tomorrow...I'll be back tomorrow night for sure...It will be "my Friday" at work, and I'll be going into my 3 day weekend!!!!
