In my short time being a member of this forum, I've come to the conclusion that corn snake owners come up with the most creative, beautiful names. You don't see a lot of "Spot's" here! (No offense intended towards any Spot owners!) I'm interested to know where the names of your snakes (and other animals!) are derived.
I'll start -
Pangaea (corn snake) - Pronounced "Pan-gia"; Pangaea is the original "super continent" that existed before continental drift occurred. I honestly just thought the name was pretty, but have since noticed two connected saddles on his back and decided I could always lie and say I named him for that
My other pets have slightly more mundane names, because my boyfriend isn't fond of the more "exotic" sounding ones. They are Layla and Beeper (my cats always end up with weird names). I have a Pomeranian named Tails (christened after Sonic's sidekick) and a cat named "Mel Goo" (because he smelled very good as a kitten, I mostly call him Melly Belly) that stayed at home with my parents when I moved out.
So share how you came up with your pet's names! Are they just a product of your creative genius, or is there a story behind them?
