Music quiz

It's not really about the score (which Toshiro is keeping quite nicely, I like the snake skin column headings), it's about the music.
Its really been fun. We've been bringing up some of the music I haven't heard for a while, and a couple I've never listened to.
Make the score whatever you want, just post the next one!

yeah, it's about the music.
The score isn't really with points, it's the number of right guesses.
It's just a bit of non.corn.related.fun :)

Ok, I'll post 2 anyway. I'm 99% sure no one will guess the second one anyway.

First one:

Hint for Bonus: It's featured on NME.

And no I don not listen to that artist.

Tiny Lynn
Something about "half-fast songs".

This guy was always immediately recognizable to me, I'm not sure about everyone else. The band was always more popular in the UK than here, so it might be easier than I think.
This is not the groups best album, but I like the monster.
What album is he on?

The name of the group's first album is phonetically spelled out in a VERY british way, unless you bought it in the United States.

Some history:
The band's line-up changed quite a few times over the years and they are still active today.
They actually did not exist for one year in the eighties. The album in question is their first release after reforming the band with the original guitar player (who never left and is still with them), a drummer from a previous line-up, and a couple of other guys.

Iron Maidens number of the beast.

Take that as a no then.

No, definitely not.
I think you call this progressive rock.
The year the band was not active was 1981.
Most of the songs on this album are covers. Some of the artists that did the originals are:John Cougar, Lion, Paul Bliss, Sue Saad and the Next, and Russ Ballard.

Enough?
