OK, here's a puzzle for ya from the 80's. These guys didn't chart much, but one song from this album was in the top ten in the UK one year.

The puzzle face band is "new wave". They only did studio work, they got together in the late 70's.
The two founders were in a very popular Australian band (popular in Australia) in the last half of the 60's.
 
I kinda felt bad posting this one because I only know one person that had their music, but then again they were on the charts a few times. I bought a couple of their albums (cassettes) in a U.S. Navy Exchange store.

Here's some possible Google fuel:
One of the men in this band is kin to a pair of brothers in a very famous rock band (you know 'em). Young men, their band has been putting out music for quite a while.
