Music quiz

Hint 1: There are three "covers" on this album, the original versions being performed by The Diamonds, Gene Pitney, and The Supremes.

Clue B: They were one of the leaders of the short revival of doo-wop in the early 80s - but a capella purists diss them for using drum tracks.

I got a copy of this about two months before the stores in my area had it. It was really cool, the band gave it to me for free.

There was also one for you if you wanted it. Of course they would accept payment if you really felt like paying, name your cost.

I remembered that from when I was looking up your other raggae one. I should listen to raggae more.

Toots and the Maytals
Reggae Greats

This is the band's first album.
The picture is supposed to be the caskets of the first eight American casualties of the Vietnam war, I can't find it anywhere else to confirm that.
I guess they didn't want people to forget:

Another January release.
The band started out hardcore punk. I don't own them, but I remember their last albums as being alternative rock.

The band never really made it big.
You might not remember their music but you could still remember their name, it's also the name of a game.

Whenever I'm asked that parlor game question, "Who's your desert island woman?" - you know, the person of the opposite sex who you'd repopulate the species with if you were the last two people on Earth.... - I mention this artist by name.

Invariably, I'm met with the response of "Who?"

But let's see if you can identify her...and this album.

Given the graphic, it's obvious that this is a jazz album; however, the artist started her career singing folk and pop.

Another female fronted band.
Not the same genre of music like the last one, though.

It can't be that hard, the name of the band and album are still visible.
But visible doesn't always mean legible. :noevil:

The chick doing the vocals has a lot of tattoos. She's cool :)

They released an EP in 2008, produced by front man of 2 nu-metal bands.
He also did some guest vocals on the EP.
