My first tattoo! =] Everyone, show 'em off!

Man, there are some unfortunate tattoos shown!!! You guys know that cover-ups are much better now than ever, and by researching and finding the right cover-up expert your wall of shame can be a wall of fame!

Most here were beautiful though, clean lines, good shading and coloring and depth.

Someone said something about allowing your tattooer to take artistic license with the piece you've chosen, PLEASE allow a good tattooer to do so! When they get to run with your idea (with your permission and final say, of course) you will end up with something better than you expected.

I'm covered, pretty much anyway, mine have no meaning or deep sentiment, and I normally don't take pictures of myself with them, I got all mine simply because I liked them , sorry no dramatic story except for one.

But I love all the ones that you have shown, very nice work.

Not rude, just honest. I did say something nice, "Most here were beautiful though, clean lines, good shading and coloring and depth." I would rather someone told me that my zipper is down than going around embarrassing myself. And those with the bad tattoos even admit they need touch-ups or coverups. You CAN'T tell me that the kid with "whoratio" on his lip is proud of that. Just my opinion.

Me on the left, my cousin on the right. We grew up together all of our lifes so we consider ourselves brothers and made it permanent lol. I look dumb with mah tongue out but whatever. Tattoo artist laughed because I got my first tattoo on my ribs but I didn't flinch at all and he apologized afterwards lol.

I don't really have any photos of my tattoos but Im a tattoo artist and figured i would share a couple that I have done to add to this interesting thread. These are a few years old but I haven't uploaded any new photos in a while.

Here are mine...

The first photo is my first ever tattoo. Everyone said I was nuts for doing my first on my foot but it wasn't near as bad as everyone made it sound.

The second and third tattoos were a fundraiser for our local humane society. A shop here in town does a select number of tattoos and all the proceeds and any other donations all go to the local shelter. The paw print is on the inside of my right ankle and the horseshoe is on my shoulder. I do have eventual plans of adding to the horse shoe. Some roses and bursts of swirls.

The fourth is one I put together. It's how my niece and nephews say I love you. My nephews say I love you infinity times infinity squared mostest and my niece says I love you mostest in the whole world forever and ever. The butterflies are my husband and my birthstone colors. I actually got this tattoo for free because I won a pumpkin carving contest that the shop was having. So I added a photo of the pumpkin that won me the pieces that mean the most to me.

I do have MULTIPLE plans for more in the future. Some great plans.
