Accepted! Thanks for the kind words! I'll tell her... LOL.

I don't think its a problem to name her price here... but I got her for $40.00. I thought that this was a STEAL since her siblings at another counter were going for $65.00. She happened to be at a friend's table because of a "between vendor's trade"... and thus, I was able to snap her up for cheaper!

She's a MONSTER, though. LOL. I get bitten just about every time I feed her... but she doesn't really sink her teeth in. Just hit, grab for a second, and release.

Hopefully, she calms down soon... or it'll be a BLOODBATH when I feed her every week.

I have heard that other rat snakes seem to be a little nippier as babies as compared to corns...but for beauty like that I would deal with some bites here and there! lol
 
Well, if you have a chance, try searching for "Worm". He's a LTR that, according to JennRose, makes a threat, but is quite handleable. HE is a big boy now... about 3 years old or so. I'm hoping that Luna follows in his footsteps - I mean slither marks. LOL!
 
WOW! Ok...that does it...I'm looking for a Leucy when I go!!!! I found the thread where she had a current pic, then the one when she got him...that is crazy how big he has gotten! Both of you have awesome snakes, and I'm jealous, I probably shouldn't handle Crush right now, for he will probably sense my longing for a "newer" snake :)
 
LOL. It all goes with the addiction! The good thing is that Luna eats WONDERFULLY! She's never refused a meal and is growing fast.

As for Crush... I'm sure that he wouldn't mind another snakey for you! LOL.

I suggest you start working with the lass- it gets a tad harder as they mature.
 
Oh, I am, Oren! She doesn't like it when I come into the room and head straight for her cage. Before feeding day, I'm gonna spend some "quality time" with my baby!!! LOL.
 
Lol.. How big is she now? I just got mine up on fuzzies.. It seems like he's growing slow.. I hope he starts getting bigger. Luckily Alaska just does the act like Worm does.. Lol, he runs when I finally go to pick him up.

Hey, Trent! Glad to hear that Alaska's doing well. Luna eats 2-3 fuzzies every week (I tend to use her as a garbage disposal as my previous one eats weanlings now). She doesn't look too large after I feed her like that and she poops everything just fine, so I don't feel like I'm over-feeding her. Typically, I just give her 2 fuzzies every week or so.

I haven't measured her, but I'd say she's about 2 feet long... 2.5 at the most. I really gotta get serpwidgets measurer. LOL. That way I can be more accurate.

BTW, have you noticed that the mouths on these guys extend MUCH more than a corns of the same size??? Luna looks almost ALL mouth when she eats. LOL.
 
Yea.. I think I need to stop treating him like a corn and just feed him bigger mice.. His body's small and his heads huge. Lol. Maybe it's just me being afraid of a regurge. Oh well. I hope he starts growing quickly now that I finally made the jump to fuzzies.
 
Those are great pics Fred! Luna sure is a gorgeous little girl. I would love to have a Leucy, but I think I might stick with a Black Rat. I'll be 100% honest... I don't envy you for having to tame her down!

Wait... what am I talking about? Deb is sending me her "devil child" ATB. :headbang: Ok I take that back... I do envy you lol!

Just do what I do (if she'll let you)... get a string and try to measure her with that. Or, let her loose along a wall. Wait... We're talking about an LTR here... maybe thats not a good idea! :grin01:
