my screen lid is not secure! HELP! pics!

YAAAAY! It worked! I put velcro on both edges like you said and in the middle and it doesnt even budge! Thank you so much, you saved me a lot of money and effort! WHOOO!

Yea great idea! i would never have thought of it! i'm sure someone else will have the same problem someday though. and its super strong velcro and really not too loud when i take it off. win-win situation! thanks again alan!

ok, in order to do it, i cut the strips in half or enough to fit perfectly on lid, with the remaining bit, i attached to tank(the same side) that way, i could velcro on the opposite side to both peices to get the fit because otherwise it would not fold over to velcro right. Here are some pics and pm me anyone if you need help.

thats an awesome idea! you think i should pay the $25 and do that alan? Or should i stick with the velcro? that way seems easier but idk, it might not work...

Velcro's cheap, Velcro's done.
However, if it fits, the other way would be prettier.
I like my stuff cheap, but I also like it to look decent.

Those clips are nice. How are they secured to both pieces?

the top piece actually screws into the lid and the bottom goes under the lip of the viv. I can pick it up by the lid. they two pieces click together until you can't get them anymore. there's a button to push to release them.

You could try the velcro and then use this down the road if the velcro doesn't work out. I've only had mine a couple of weeks, but considering I'm not going to be taking the whole lid off very often, I think it should work great for what I am doing.

my viv is currently in the living room and my wife won't let my rig it right now. Once I have a rept. room maybe....
