my snakes are dead!

I keep coming by here hoping for good news. Give us an update on just yourself when you can in the least.

sorry ive been over there all day gathering whatever belongings i could. The building has been condemed. My snakes were all dead in their enclosures.

Oh that's so horrible! I just hate to think that they were trapped and they couldn't escape. I'm sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry. You say they may have died from the cold? I have heard that when snakes get caught in temps around 30-40 degrees, they enter into a coma and pass in their deep sleep. Even in smoke inhalation, they did not suffer long. I hope you have family to stay with or the red cross is helping you. If you aren't with family, I posted a link that may help you. They helped my family.

If they were _only_ cold, they might revive if warmed up. A member here received snakes in shipping that appeared dead, but were just very cold. An experienced person- so if they could fool him...

i would like to now ask everyone to observe a moment of silence for Morpheus and Tarzan.

I too am sorry for your loss, not just the snakes but your loss of your home. Your snakes will be watching over you as you work your way through this time, and hopefully, when you reestablish your life comfortably, you can start again. You obviously did a great job with them, so you have the knowledge and experience to do it again.

My thoughts are with you.
