my snakes are dead!

Other than your poor snakes, was there any damage (smoke) in your apartment? How are you faring BTW?

I am very sorry for your loss, If you decide to get more snakes let me know and I will help you with hatchlings this year.

Tons of smoke and water damage, lost almost everything. Good thing I have insurance. But had to move in with my parents until I find a new place to live.

That sucks so much. GOOD for you for having insurance- so many renters don't. I had a house fire once- in a house I built. I don't think I'll ever get over it.

I lost a snake a while back and I know how terrible that feels. AT least you're okay, I also lost my 15 year old cat a few days ago and the Vet gave us an imprint of his paw and this poem. I like to think it applies to reptiles too. Made me cry about my snake and my cat. My deepest condolences for your loss, but they are always with you in spirit

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

thank you, the poem makes me happy because I've been told so many times animals don't have souls so the poem makes me look forward to seeing all my pets on the other side. That's why I shared it, I think everyone can relate to it. Once again to the OP I am so very sorry for your loss, I hope if you read the poem that it helps you in some way.
