!!!! My Unexpected EGGS !!!!

OH MY BRETT!!!
I did just read the rest.... Ok, then lets change my ealier comment to:

I can only hope that us & OUR BABIES... come through this both well... AND FAST!!! I SO know what you are going through Brett and it just so happens I have 'just enough' heart left, that isn't breaking, to be able to "send some out to you " Hun...

I am not going to even pretend that I am not SCARED for Whytsnakes out come right now... But then again... I AM still grieving the loss of my 14 and 1/2 yr old companion, best friend & 4 legged, furry Daughter, PRINCESS (my Pom/Maltese mix that I raised from day one on a bottle)
When I was "forced" to let her go last week-end, after suddenly being stricken with CHF, out of the blue... I was "DEVISTATED" to say the least! Then... right after I let her go... We came home to 6 eggs that Whytsnake had laid! I took it as a "GOOD SIGN" you know... The Cosmos, or what ever, reminding me of the wonderous, never ending, "The Circle Of Life"....
The next morning... 2 more eggs.... and though I was still shattered inside, those two little eggs brought at least one side of my mouth up into an "almost" half grin. ...................that was LAST SATURDAY!!
...Oh Man,,, I so digressed there, sorry Brett ...
MY POINT BEING... LOL
That I am NOW telling myself that there is NO REASON to think about anything other than a positive conclusion for both our Gals... And for both of us at this point... Our GALS need to "FEEL" us "FEELING" positive! I truly took to heart what everyone told me about Whytsnake picking up on my panic and fear & that further stressing her!!! THEY AINT LYING! Last night when I got her to drink and she looked up at me with those precious pink eyes? She was "CALM" & "RELAXED" not just worn out... Because I WAS CALM for her sake!
So right now... I am off to the BIG OLD SINK, to draw my poor half skinny, half chubby first time Momma a nice warm bath! And I will continue to send you ALL THE SAME GOOD THOUGHTS AND CALMING FEELINGS that I can muster!!! I have to believe... We, all 4 of us... will make it through this!!! And we can draw needed strength and positivness from each other!

~ I MEAN IT BRETT!!! And when we DO get through this... How about we go have a NICE STIFF DRINK!!

Mary Ann & Whytsnake

.......check back soon!

I'm sorry to hear of your family loss, Brett. You're & yours are in my prayers.

thank you :)
thats a very nice thing for you to say.

Dizz is just the same as usual, she bit me the other night. Made me bleed. lol first time thats hapened.

You're more than welcome.

I don't know about the bite from Dizzles. :shrugs: I'd guess it happened because she's tired and uncomfortable, and completely over being gravid. I don't remember biting my husband while stuck in bed for two months while hugely pregnant, but I wouldn't swear that I didn't nip him. ;)

ye i think she was just really stressed on that day.
I just took her out a minute ago and probed her to try and open up her vent and massage the eggs out. It was a bit awquard on my own but i managed to get the probe in and open her vent but had no luck getting the eggs out.

If you have no helper, it works best if you are sitting in a chair - preferably a kitchen type chair with no arms or legs for the snake to get itself wrapped around on! Then you can easily use your elbows and knees to hold various parts of the snake to restrain her. It does take some practice though!

Hey Brett did you hear from Mike? I am still here for you too in any way I may help. My best to your family, you & Dizzles in this time. I wish Dizzles was stronger so you could ship her here to the States so Kathy or Kyle or someone else over hear could take care of those remaining eggs for you and then send your girl back home to you. Just wish there was something, someone to help you there. You take care and keep in touch on any progress. Cheers to you Brett!!

no mike hasnt ben in touch with me.
And now i only have one remaining egg that may have a chance of hatching, the rest have all gone unfortunately. i still have my fingers corssed for the one remaining egg.

You know Brett I hope that last egg is a survivor for you! And everyday that passes is closer to hatching day. I hope you are able to do Kathy's technique today on Dizzles. Keep me posted on your progress. I know you will be able to get it done, I have confidence in you. TTYS.

thanks buddy!
im going to give it a bash in a bit, im sure il be able to rope in some assistance from jenny, i think il have to provide her with some gloves though to calm her nerves. She would probably be more nervous than dizzles. lol
if i try it again and still dont have any success i think i will take her back into the shop or something and see if they can do anything for her.
anyway wel see what happens in a bit.
il keep you posted.

Me Too!! "FINGERS CROSSED" for You and Dizz... This thread is FAST becoming like my "Required Course" in "Egg Binding"~! And every little step towards success for Dizz & you... gives HOPE to Whytsnake and I. SO HERE'S TO HIGH HOPES & THE BEST WISHES FOR YOU TWO!!

(Whytsnake is in the blue, with ALL 4 to 5 hard eggs still inside her! BUT YAY, she is finally drinking water on her own! And from this thread, I know that MUST be a step in the right direction)

HUGGZ to you Both,
Mary Ann & Whyt

ye i tried with her, my mum helped me out to hold her.
i didnt get very far though, near enough as soon as we got her into position she started musking (very little though), so i thought it was a bad idea and would have probably got a bit messy to carry on so i just put her back.

some good news, after watching my effort and seeing what kind of state she is in, my dad rang a vets and has booked us in for the morning and is going to pay to get it sorted out. operation and all if need be.

i feel really guilty about letting my parents pay and i told my mum and she just said i can pay them back when im a young wealthy man. :) lol

Ask the vet if you can stay in the exam room to see what is done to help. It will be good info in the future, in case you run into this problem again.

Good luck!

ye i will deffinately ask to watch whatever they do! it would be awsome if they would let me take pictures and stuff if they operate on her! would be interesting pics for people to examine!

Brett that is great for Dizzles & you that your folks are helping you out. Nothing beats family for pulling together when the need is most. You know I can't go a day without checking for updates and it seems a lot of people feel the same way. We will all be there with you in though while your at the vets. Good luck mate. Cheers to you both & to your folks!!!!!
