just wanted to note, like many others have mentioned on these boards, corn's seem to have such unique personalities. for example, my "Champ" is extremely active between 6-9am and not SO active at night. seems odd to me, but i guess whatever floats his boat. he's a very happy and healthy snake.
also, tip for a new owner with a jumpy / scared snake:
for the first couple weeks just put your hand in the tank near the snake and don't touch him - each day he will become more and more curious about your hand and will become familiar with your scent - in no time you won't even have to pick him/her up - i tried this process with Champ, and he just scoots right up my arm when I put it in his viv now. however, pending personality it might not work...
