Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and corn snakes. I have bought, and read, Kathy and Bill Love's book, "The Comprehensive Owner's Guide to Corn Snakes." But am always looking for more advice and tips.
At a local Reptile show a few weeks ago, I picked up two new snakes. Ofelia and Inigo. According to their respective breeders, Ofelia is a girl, and Inigo is a boy. I've read the ways on how to tell, but I'm to nervous to try that myself just yet.
They've both been eating just fine, but I'm not sure if I'm feeding them the right size, and/or amount. They have been eating pinkies, 2.5 grams, about twice a week. (Only had them since 04/06). Inigo's weight is 19 grams, while Ofelia is 18. Am I doing things right? Any tips?
I originally had them living together, but have since changed my mind, because of everyone's great advice.
Here's where they live:
I have 50 watt "red light" bulbs that go on at 9:30 AM, until about 9:30 at night. When those lights are off, I have under-the-cage heaters, which keep them warm over night.
Here is Ofelia:
Soon after that picture, she pooped on the bed.
Inigo:
Can you guys tell me what types these are? I think Ofeila is a Reverse Okeetee, and I'm not sure what Inigo is, but thanks in advance for any help/tips I'm sure you guys will give me.
