Oak - '09 Pewter

Omg Jessica I couldn't believe when I read that you got a ticket for being ran over! I love how the system works sometimes. But surely you'll have to be found not at fault! Anyway, best wishes once again for your recovery to go well~

Thanks for all the words of encouragement, guys! My court date for fighting "sudden leaving curb" is on the 28th. Wish me luck! I'm going to need it. I'm unfortunately having a hard time finding a lawyer who will represent me. Most of the automobile accident specialists seem interested until they learn I have to go to court.. then many of them back out saying they don't generally deal with that side of things. :shrugs:

Jessica, firstly I'm wishing you a speedy and full recovery and a good result in court!

Secondly, what a gorgeous Pewter Oak is, he would make an excellent boyfriend for my Penelope, she likes to show off her beautiful triangle head when she's in blue, but is a total sweetheart any other time. 'Tis a shame you're the other side of the pond! ;)

Good luck for the 28th!!!

wow, i'm really glad that you're okay! i hope everything gets straightened out, i wouldn't think that would be your fault anyways, ESPECIALLY if it was at a crosswalk!

glad to see pics of your babe, he's sure beautiful! love that attitude as well! their little triangle heads are so intimidating, lol!

Another layer peels away

Oak is once again freshly shed! Also, I got my scale out of storage, and he's about 24 grams. Pretty small for an '09, but considering how big he was when I got him, he's making progress!

First shot, taken inside with flash

Now for the outdoor photo shoot

I LOVE the purpley tones he's getting!

Didn't get many good pictures today, the weather is really off and on. One minute it's cloudy, another it's sunny. It was in a cloudy phase when I snapped these.

Also, for anyone who's curious, I was found NOT GUILTY of "sudden leaving curb"!! w00t!
Also, my leg is healing pretty well. Still painful, still in a leg brace, but I'm walking without crutches, and my right ankle (which was fractured) feels fine most days.

Is he always triangle headed like that? :p He's very gorgeous, love his purples. Sorry to hear about your accident -abitlatehere-, but congrats with the court case! It's nice to see something GOOD happen for a change :)

Not quite fresh shed, but..

Well, Oak is gearing up to shed. I'm getting excited to see what he will look like after this next shed because it seems to me that his saddles are becoming lighter. It's very cool!!

I snapped a few pictures of him chillen in his tub. I couldn't wait for a fresh shed photo shoot! He looks pretty dark, and I do believe he'll be shedding some time soon. It's almost been a month! Coming up on it at least..

His feelings towards me are not exactly mutual, but he tolerates me exposing him by removing his water dish and snapping a few pics.

Hopefully the weather will still be nice enough for a few pretty pics post shed.

So cute! Reading this thread, I'm really glad everything worked out for you (increasingly beautiful snake included). I think I would have lost a lot of faith in the justice system has you been indicted for "sudden leaving curb."

Simply lovely! I hope you eventually have a bunch that look like this one (and that I can lay may hands on some!).

<3 Oak!

I have a charcoal female het anery 66% diffused 50% hypo. She was free and i have no one to pair her with....

Hrm, well I was never really one to exactly love / follow the justice system anyway if you catch my drift....

I have been very good in the last year or so though, pretty much living by the law and becoming a community member, blah, blah, blah, so for this to happen after I'd turned over a new leaf, so to say, was somewhat devastating.

At least I was found not guilty, which somewhat restored my faith in it I suppose. :smash:

Also, thanks for the compliments!

Thanks!! Yea, I LOVE Oak. He's pretty sweet. Also, since the beginning of this thread half of my wildest dreams came true. I don't own one of John's Anery Pewters (cause I'm not a millionaire), but I DO own one of his amazingly beautiful Pewter girls!!

Here's my sweet little Lilac, who will hopefully fall desperately in love with Oak.

Personally, I think they're a match made in heaven.. They even pose similarly!

lol, this was not a hateling pose like Oak's though. Lilac is as sweet as can be. Maybe she can some day tame the beast.. :roflmao:

Lilac, however won't be ready for quite some time! I LOVE the Charcoal morph, so anything outa this pair would be pretty sweet... ;D
Also, Lilac is 66%ph Lav, so she may just have priority with my Plasma male anyway.. ;)

Alright, alright, Oak is fresh shed!!!

He was NOT happy, however, about my little photo shoot attempt. I only got a few photos, and I used flash for all of them because of poor lighting. It kind of detracted from his beauty a little, so hopefully before I feed him next I can snag some decent shots without flash.

Anyway, here's what I got.

NOT so happy with the invasion of space, but look at how light he looks!
_1011845.jpg

Attempt at an autumn photo shoot, but they didn't come out as nice as I'd hoped because of the flash.
_1011868.jpg

At least you can see how metallic he's getting!
_1011874.jpg

I think this one escaped without a huge light going off to destroy the mood..
_1011857.jpg

And, this one is a terrible shot, but look at his saddles!!! They are getting lighter than his background, and I think it's really sweet!
_1011847.jpg

Here's another with kinda weird light due to the flash, but I love his S curve

I need to weigh Oak before I feed him next, but I'm going to estimate he's in between 30-40g. My little boy is growing up!!

He still has the tude though.. uh oh! :duck:

Thanks, Dave! Also, I weighed Oak tonight and he's closer to 50grams than 40! w00t! :dancer:

50 grams of pure muscle that still likes to triangle head and snap at me... :sidestep:

Aww So cute! Oak's looking great!

Also, it's good to hear that you were found not guilty (a little late, I know). Such a ridiculous charge.

Lilac is super cute! You're sure to produce some awesome pewters from the two of them. :)

He's such a gorgeous Pewter, Jessica. And I'm sorry to hear about your accident, man that would suck! :( *hugs to you!*
