Err.. Well, since I happened to wander back.. lol.

He ended up healing absolutely fine with only a little scarring, and continues to live a contented snakey life in a cat-free home with a friend of mine after I moved across the country.
I am since in the process of getting my vet technicion certification. :rolleyes:
