President May be in Trouble

Romney talked a lot about states rights, but I doubt he will stand behind it. Besides, we already fought a war over it and the good guys lost. Just like today, true Christian conservatives are a minority now and are being outbred by a pretty good clip, so we have to do what we can in Imperial America.

If the next few years sees an economic disaster as I fear it will, then the unlucky White House inhabitant will get the blame, whoever he is. So you might be lucky if your chosen party LOSES this election.

If a post doesn't make sense to me, I usually just try to ignore it, although sometimes I can't, lol! Maybe it will make sense to somebody else, but most likely not.

And I would have responded to that disgusting post as well, but believe me if I said what I want to say to......well....him.....I would be banned for life from this wonderful place, and THEN what would I do?

Yeah... I guess you can borrow it. Just don't start an anti-south movement, using a bumper sticker with my quote on it... I'm a lot more apt to defend my self against crazy people online.

No worries! Southern folks are ok for the most part. I want to be one someday so I won't be taking pot shots at them.
Please note that being southern and talking with a cute drawl does not have anything to do with religion and those who use religion as their weapon of choice.

Not every soldier of the Confederacy was Christian but, the majority were. One the main reasons for the war. People that believe in local self gov't. You would do well to study the theology of Jackson and Lee. The movie "Gods and Generals" is a real accurate movie of the early parts of the war. It shows the theology of Stonewall that he practiced, in commanding his men. Forgive me for bieng defensive but some one from Rhode Island weighing in on the bible belt doesn't carry a lot of weight.

Time to move on.
Just because we have less self righteous, bigotted, bible thumpers who use religion as a weapon here does not mean I have never seen one.
And I won't associate with "Christians in name only" no matter where I happen to be living.
Time to unbuckle that bible belt.....

So someone who idolizes ignorant bigots from the south carries more weight? Yeah right.

I live in the bible belt. I am constantly appalled by things I see "Christians" do in the name of God. Snub good hard working people honest people because they are gay. Raise up child molesting perverts on a pedestal because they are supposedly holy.

I'll keep the separation of church and state thank you very much.

I honestly feel more pity than anger for people who believe in bigotry and hatred. You miss out on so many great people that way.

Heck yeah to that one brother!

Christianity is supposed to teach compassion and love, not bigotry and hate. People use it as an excuse to be Bible-black tyrants, hiding behind a mask of righteousness.

I live my own life. For better or for worse I do, say, think, and feel for myself and associate with people I like.
I have friends of all types, ages, backgrounds, religions and sexual orientations. Why? BECAUSE I LIKE THEM!!
I don't let an ancient text dictate my every move.
And when my light finally blinks out, I will have no regrets.
(Well, I may have a few, but they will be based on mistakes I have made on my own)
