Funny thing, I watch RT (Russian television), and I watch their news. Things are actually MUCH worse than our media is letting on.

Brought back the troops from Iraq and is drastically reducing the war in
Aghanistan. Wars he didn't start and have cost the US taxpayers trillions carried over in the Obama administration into the next four years as well. Can people say corrupt no bid contracts to the military-industrial complex via W/Cheney and crew?


Then we have health care for those unable to access any in the past, i.e. pre-existing illnesses. It's time to end the GOP obstructionism and concentrate on benefiting the US nation instead.

Then there is the issue of ending W's every child left behind. The US was rapidly declining into 2nd world status because of the GOP obstructionism. That has to immediately reverse. Obviously, the elections sent a loud and clear message that GOP obstructionism will not longer be the US national norm. That's long past due. Brought back troops from Iraq, and reducing the war in Afghanistan? I would really like to be on your planet as well. Because Bush signed the papers to start bringing people back from Iraq. And, we are still sending large numbers of troops to Afghanistan. I know because not only was I in the military when the switch started, and troops started coming back from Iraq (we still send troops there now as well, so it is not "over"), but I also saw a huge push for more troops to be deployed to Afghanistan under the Obama Administration. Also, our troops are in fear for their carreers and lives over there because the Obama administration has made the SOP's hard to follow. No longer are they able to just fire back, but have to call up and ask permission, or are afraid to fire back without permission because they are afraid of being called up on war crimes... I know I was in combat on my second deployment, and was the first one to fire back a few times, because I was not on U.S. orders, but on NATO orders. So my operating proceedures were a little bit different...

W's NCLB was a blunder, I didn't like it, and neither did most teachers. But, it was just the continuation of another program that has been around for a long time. Also, I do not see schools improving under any Obama policies. I actually have been seeing schools get worse, as my wife is going into Education as a career, and will be having an extremely difficult time in finding a job.

But sure, "Obama is making things better", could have fooled me.
 
When all you do is buy into Faux, the question you should be asking yourself is on what planet have you moved? Obviously, the physical reality of what occurs on planet Earth doesn't exist based on what you post.

Try and recall anything benefiting the entire US under Reagan/HW, HW/Quayle, or W/Cheney. Unless, you consider two Great Recessions, an S&L scandal involving HW's son Neil, three illegal wars, two major stock market crashes, running amok junk bond trading, Wall Street running amok on illegal insider trading, a plutocratic monopoly called Mussolini's fascist voodoo economics, and a disasterous mortage bubble burst in 2008 "beneficial" to the US nation - the entire nation. Now name anything the GOP has done to benefit this nation since Reagan/HW. Unless you can do that, you have no legitimate argument because obviously you are posting nothing more than Murdock/Rove Faux revisionism. That isn't physical reality on planet Earth Outcast.

1) He has not brought the troops back. Nor has he ended the war as he promised he would.
2) Health care costs have RISEN since he wrote the new bill. Ours has gone from $976 a month to nearly $1500. That law will KILL jobs and business. If you think unemployment is bad now, just wait til this little beauty kicks in. And if you think this heathcare bill is a good thing, have you ever heard of "Romneycare"? He did the same thing before Obama was ever elected and he is a REPUBLICAN.
3) "Every" child left behind is what it SHOULD have been called. Huge waste of taxpayer dollars that did nothing to help education. Proven failure.

And you did not answer my question. I asked what he did for TAXPAYERS. You know, the ones who foot the bill?

GOP congress and senate balanced the budget and had surplus during Clinton years. (see Newt)

The illegal wars you speak of were approved by a dem led capital hill. The housing market crash was perp'd by Mr Dodd and Mr Frank (dems) under order of Mr Clinton. The insider trading ... you got me there that was both parties.

I have generally stayed out of this thread and just read because so many like Autumn and Aaron are so much better at explaining and the same views as I. If I thought differently I would speak up. However there are a few points that I felt like bring up.

And how is this any less racist? Your a democrat so that is how you vote. It doesn't matter what the other side is because they are wrong is how you justify it without actually knowing the issues at hand. You are putting one party against the other. To me that is racist. It is no different than saying oh he is a Mexican so I am not going to listen to what he has to say or his views.

Racism comes in all forms. My children and I got discriminated against for having blonde hair and blue eyes. How does that happen in this country? Racism is seeing one thing is better than the other just because of a physical trait or belief.

There is an issue with everything stated here but I will address the issue on health care. You are right because of Obama care no insurance company can deny me health care because of my epilepsy. However they can surely charge me $1500 A MONTH! This taking away my right to shop around for health insurance because of Obama care they all are charging the same amount. So I can't try every company till I find one at a lower rate that will except me. That is money I don't have on top of my $500 a month in medications. So this leaves me without medical coverage. So yes no insurance can deny me but they sure can charge me so much that I have no choice but to go without. And I have heard by democrats oh wait till the bill goes completely through it will be so much better. We have many veterans on this forum ask them how government insurance is. Every last single one of them has major complaints.
 
Obama did nothing to repeal or eliminate the NCLB act. Yes, it was Bush's way of privatizing public schools but Obama had 4 yrs to rid us of it and has done nothing. Believe me, I am in the thick of things with a special needs child who is in Special Education. I have to fight every day to make sure he is not left behind.

It is funny people keep saying we are out of Iraq because I have friends who are deployed there. We aren't anywhere close to being out of afghan.

Housing market crash caused by....democrats.....
Insider trading....well it is illegal for citizens to do that, but WAS perfectly legal for lawmakers to do it. Until a bi partisan bill put an end to it.

I have to agree with both comments Steph made. Having a special needs daughter I have to do the same thing and it is a huge shame. And as far as war, I laugh. You obviously don't have family in the military because you would actually know that those comments are a joke. If that were true they wouldn't be calling my brother out of the reserves and they wouldn't have sent my Uncles over for their 3rd tour or my cousin actually just a few weeks ago. :eek:
