sheding and feeding qustion

No, your snake is not milk-snake phase (also known as 'banded' I believe) as it has normal saddle shapes and normal lateral markings. It appears to have potential to be a candy-cane amel, but might have too much orange on the ground color already.
 
I think you need to slow down, and take stock of your situation. The least of your worries right now are what sex your snakes are. You should be paying attention to properly housing and caring for these animals before wasting money on them being sexed, as there is no way these snakes could be bred for years.
Take that 52$ and apply it to another set up. Get them both happily housed.

BTW, if you see them 'cuddling' its not ok, and its not cute, they are (in a snake way) trying to assert dominance. What if you have a regurge, how will you know what snake it is? What if you end up with mites in both? or parasites in both? And it will be both, as there was no quarentine.
Sorry. Look...all I'm saying is you do not seem to be focused on the REAL issue, which is NOT the sex of the snakes.
You know where the vet is, who the vet is, and how much it will cost. Now you can go whenever you want, once everything else is taken care of.
THANK GOODNESS no issues yet, what do you want to see before doing something about it? injury? sickness? death? why wait when almost all of those things WILL happen if you leave them together? (there may be some positive accounts of people keeping snakes together, but its in pretty special conditions).
You should be focused on the home front first. That money is best spent else ware.
 
i really do apreciate all of your guyses help and suggestions. I take them to heart and I WILL seprate the snakes. I do want to take them to the vet though not only for the reasons stated above, but also because only a vet can really tell me if they are healthy or not. im sure you can, but seeing pictures and actualy holding it are two differnt things. my qustion is, how should i bring them in to the vet? I live in michigan, actualy detroit area, and its been snowing all day and were expected to get 6 inches of snow tonight...so its cold. im wondering how i should transport them?
 
Depending on their size you can use tupperware with holes drilled in and keep them away from your vents to avoid overexposure to your cars heat. Put the tupperware with snake into a cardboard box and tape shut or use clips on the container you choose or one may escape:(
 
I'd put each snake in it's own pillowcase and tie it up. The line two plastic tubs with old towels for insulation and put each pillowcase in its own tub. Try and resist the temptation to whack the heating in the car up full - that's likely to overheat them.

However, transporting them is always going to be stressful and risky in this weather. Unles you have serious concerns about their health, I'd be inclined to leave the general healthcheck until the outside temps go up.
 
i took them to the vet. the vet said that the snakes look really really healthy. she probed them both, Odo (normal corn) is a FEMALE and Shran(she called him an Albino Corn) is a MALE. She asked if they were liveing together in the same cage, and she said that that it would be a good idea to seperate them. she said all the same things youve all told me!
 
I just went to the reptile store and bought a new stand for the the cage. its a metal stand and i can have two 20 Long tanks on it, so ive made the first step to getting a 2nd tank for the bigger snake!
 
I'm glad to see you are seperating them. Also happy they are healthy. Enjoy your corns....is jealous now cause I want another one too. *sigh*
 
Excellent news! They are both healthy, you do have a male & a female, and you've started working on getting them separated. Now get a second cage quick, because a 45 gm snake & 97 gm snake are way too different in size.
 
the soonest i could possibly get the new cage would be a week from today because of my pay check. however, im starting to see that the snakes dont seem to like eachother allready becuase they literly avoid eachother. they stay currled up on oposite sides of the cage..maybe i could borrow some money from my friend or parents and pay them back on friday. there is one thing i want to get though, and its flourecent hood lights for the cages. since im going to be getting rid of the heat lamps.. i want light to look at them. any suggestions on the fixture and bulbs? i know at some stores like petsmart, they sell 3 differnt kinds of bulbs, one is for "desert" the other is "tropical" and i think the 3rd is "forest" or something. i dont know... but what should i get??
 
You know those hoods allow the snake access to he bulb itself which means potential burns and all bulbs get hot so I still say use room light to look at them:) Also why not get a plastic tub from lowes, home depot, or target to use as a temporary cage? I know you like the look of the glass tanks, but temporarily it would solve the cohabbing issue and give you a spare feeding tub or holding tub on cleaning days:)
 
alright, i managed to come up with a little bit of money. i got the new 20 gallong long, a water dish, a heating pad, a themestat..what i need is a themometer and a hydometer..but i got the most important stuff! oh..not to mention, i need a hide...

i like to listen to all you experts! :) im not sure if youve all realised, but im probably significantly younger than all of you (20). so im very new to keeping snakes. only had them since decemter 11. but let me tell you all about my self a little. im currently in college and am obsessed with animals. unfortnetly ive spend way too much money on them because i love hem so much. i work at petsmart. i have a 150 gallon fish tank. i grow live plants, and basicly i have a $6,000 set up...im really in to fish. I decided to get snakes because they are easy to care for, beautiful, something that a lot of people dont have, and a girl from work made me hold one and i fell in love with it after about 10 miniuts oncei knew it wasent going to bite me. thats my only fear with snakes, is getting bitten. its never happend yet. ill be honest, with the albino milk corn that i have ( the store said that she bred the snake her self, owns the brother of my snake, and said its some milk phase snake, that its NOT a hybrid, its a corn snake thats suposed to look closely identicle to the candy cane, anways,) im honestly afraid of it somewhat of it biteing me. the vet today as she was handeling him said that shes suprised that he is more of a nervous snake than the normal corn that i have because of the age differnce. i know ive moved the snakes around a lot lately, and ive put them under a great deal of stress, especly the albino, so im going to do my best to leave them both alone for the next week, limit my contact of being in there cage to changeing the water. they both have been through alot and need time away from humans. tomrrow im going to go and get a themoneter, hydometer, a hide, cage lock, and hopefly some sort of light to put over the cages... i want to be abel to see them. the cages are in the basement, where there really is not enough overhead light to really see inside. should i get flourcent lights with UV or should i just get your basic flourecent light bulb from home depot and a basic fixture? here is a picture of what i did this evening....
