Carpe Serpentis
Hybrid Snake Lover
Different cultures call what I am describing by different names. Hanbleceya, crying for a dream, vision quest, etc. It is a form of inquiry to many cultures, prayer, mindfulness, etc. I have one of those personalities where I will try almost anything once. So, I found a Lakota yuwipi medicine man and had him put me up for a traditional vision quest long before I ever joined the military. To make a very long story short, I've studied a great many different religions and I once had a deep desire to see what truth I could find in them all. But I'll leave that discussion for a different thread because this thread is not for that. Its for discussing hybrids and why hybridizers make hybrids. We do it for many reasons. Some do it for money, some do it for a love of creating something unique, some do it from a certain artistic type bent,... the list goes on. But hybridizing is nothing new we as Homo sapiens have been hybridizing, line breeding, out crossing, etc. for many many years. We have intentionally been altering the natural progression of things and creating alternate paths of evolution for wild versus domesticated. This is why domesticated horses have a different number of chromosomes to that of wild horses.
