Terrorist attacks in London, U.K.

I hope everyone is o.k.
My thoughts are with anyone who has been involved directly or indirectly with today's attacks.

I have family overseas... My niece was at one of the railways that was bombed...luckily, she had gotten off the train about 7 minutes before the explosion. They took her and the other passengers to a huge holding area. She was able to call her mom to let her know that she was OK before they disconnected the cellphones.
My heart is aching for those that weren't so lucky. I'm disgusted about the whole thing, really. No punishment is too severe for perpetrators of shameless acts like this.
We have quite a few forum members from London--I truly hope everyone is OK....

Your niece was very lucky. Glad she is o.k.
Thank you for your thoughts. It's times like this, that we all need to feel united.

I've just started work today when I heard about it in radio.
I just won't comment it as I don't think there is much to say.

I hope that everyone from the London area that frequents this forum is ok, as are their families.

Such a tragedy...and such a cowardly act of violence. I just can't imagine a warped human mind sometimes, and maybe I don't want to. If you want to kill people and wage a war against who you think is the problem, at least be man enough to stand up and be responsible. Don't hide behind a silly-sounding name. The US and the UK have enough troops over there fighting and they don't hide their faces, they proudly do their job.

They (terrorists) think they're doing Islam and their cronies who believe in this sort of thing a great service. But in all actuality they're hurting themselves and the innocent people of their religion far worse. I think all of the world events going on today has made it tough for people of Islam, worldwide...and that's a tragedy as well. And sadly, most of the people being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan aren't foreign soldiers or aid workers...its their own people. When will the residents get sick of it and put an end to it on their own?

*sigh* Such hatred in the world today.

Thoughts and well wishes go out to anyone and everyone that is in and around London.

Acts like this make me sick and help to validate the reason why the US and the UK have people over in the Middle East trying to bring these people down.

If they hit Poland next maybe then you'll have an opinion. :noevil:

They are a bunch of cowards. By all means blow up people on their way to work. Great way to get your point across.

Oh and one more thing : My 1st post didn't mean I have no opinion, but that I don't want to share it as using bad language is not welcome here, I think.

My prayers will be with the survivors and families affected. Such a horrible, senseless act perpetuated against innocent civilians.

This is just because it seems you did not care. I also found this bombing terrible and when I read your post, I was sad.

And if you did not want to share your opinion, may I kindly ask why you made a post in the first place? I am really just curious. Take no offence in my post please.

Maybe my english isn't perfect, but I wanted to say that when bombs are exploding in a subway killing innocent people, any word that we will say will be empty and so small.
I was in London a few times and I love this town. This is the only place I think I could live outside Poland.
I hope I made some things clear.

I origanate from there and a lot of my family still live there, fortunatly none of my family were there when the bonbs exploded but it doesnt change the fact that it was an awfull thing and although it didnt affect my family it still affected many others which still upsets and angers me! it has been very disturbing to watch news reports and see the images of what has happened but it cannot be ignored! lets hope that the people responsible for this will be brought to justice!!!:(:(:(

I'm not sure what has happend, my TV stays on PBS till my daughter takes her nap (they don't have news on there that could upset kids), but I hope it isn't to bad. Sounds like it is though. I think I'll go put my daughter down for her nap early so I can turn on some news.

I have friends there. I'm waiting to hear from my friend's mom to see if she and her husband are o.k. I also have a penpal there, and I have no way of knowing if she's alright or not. Hope everyone there comes thru o.k. We're thinking of you over on this side of the pond! Here's hoping that our support equals the support you showed us during our terrible attack.

Im sure i speak for all over here in the uk when i say thanks for you people over in the us's support, its good to know there is support from others!

i think a lot of what is being said about the conditions of people is pretty distressing, added with the pictures of "walking" victims being taken away and the recks that are left!
They basically struck at 9 oclock this morning as it was rush hour and the idea of the attack was to shut down the transport system (thats the belief so far)!

Very sad news to start the day. Never understood how cowards can strike civilians and then try to justify what they did.
Thoughts and prayers for the families, friends and victims.

my thoughts are with everyone over in the U.K. if there was anything i can or could do i would do it...

i know some people may have different political views than me, but, i am so thankful for our soldiers fighting for us to remain free. CAV!!!! i especially thank you
