Throughout Corn Snake history when new morph combines are produced to fill the $1000 price tag, the original morph drops in price. Normal Tesseras are being replaced by Tesseras Combines, just as it has always been.
Of all of the pattern genes we have discovered, Tesseras are the best by far. No two are exactly alike, which you can not say about Striped and Motley or evey Diffused. You can complete a project in 2-3 years instead of 4-6 years, which is a plus any way you look at it, for a breeder.
I think the best thing about Tessera is that you do not have to inbreed at all to produce combines, because they are dominant, rather than recessive. Tesseras have an obvious advantage in this area over other pattern morphs. Tesseras are just plan fun to breed.
