If I remember correctly, there were other words used in addition to "idiot."
To address your second statement, I don't see at all how they're different at all for "established" members. There are a few contributors who have been suspended at least once or twice.
But anyway, I'm done with this discussion.

I tried to stay out of this for as long as possible, as the usual way to shoo off an attention-seeker is by ignoring their existance...but I couldn't resist this one little thing I found somewhat humorous.
In asking what exactly a deli cup was, you managed to offend Americans AND overweight people. Good job there, Dear. Do you mind me calling you dear? I know I hate it as have several others have stated as well, so maybe it fits you better than I.
I'm an American and I'm fat. But I sure don't eat out of deli cups. If I did, I might be a tad bit healthier, as more healthy food comes in deli cups than anything else. But what would you know, apparently you don't eat 'real food'. Sure must be nice to brag about never ordering a pizza.
And a little off-topic but on the same tangent at least...
Scrub, there's no need to attempt to defend Elle. She's perfectly capable of posting her way out of her own messes, at least after 995+ posts you'd think so.
And posting as frequently and with as little actual content as she does, is somewhat annoying if you really think about it. If you're posting that much asking real questions, trying to interact or pictures, that's fine. But 800+ posts of "I think it might be an X morph it kinda looks it, but whatever it its yummy!" ? See the point?
If you don't know, keep your yap shut. There are several threads I don't answer because even though I've been dealing with corns for 4+ years I still don't feel competent enough to answer it correctly, so to avoid giving someone possible bad advice, I stay quiet and learn if someone more knowledgable answers.
Contrary to what you might think there is a real problem with people who are blatantly ignorant about corns to start giving advice like they earned a vet degree overnight. Some advice omniscient newbies give could very well kill your snake. And when other new folks who have a genuine emergency and not knowing any better, will follow that ill-gotten advice with very dire consequences.
Look at Your_Only_Nightmare....squeezed her snake like a tube of toothpaste to try to get retained eggs out of it, and the innards came out looking like toothpaste as well. I sure as heck don't want her lecturing other people on how to care for their snakes, when she manages to kill hers.
I don't feel comfortable on giving people advice if I've not been in the situation before. Because I'd feel awful if my advice resulted in the death of an animal. Which is why I do not answer "how do I probe/pop/etc" threads, it just encourages them to do stupid things. If they can't have the responsibility to read a book about their beloved pet and gain their own qualitative knowledge, I'm not going to tutor them.
So to come back to full circle....Elle, I do believe you are an idiot.
If you can manage to cuss and offend people in just about every rebuttal thread like all over-zealous teenagers who think cursng makes them appear more mature and "one of the gang", then I don't see being called an idiot as being all that bad. Because after all, I'm Blatantly Honest™.

Anybody can do research about anything they want, it's all on here in the archives, so are all the questions from people asking about temps, lighting, humidity Etc. pointless spam as well? do we need to degrade them for being to lazy to do their own research?
People constantly do tell others to do searchs, but surely the best thing to do is ignore them...???
I am not trying to piss anyone off, but I do think that the attacks at Elle are sudden (to the extent of my knowledge), and vicouse.
I am just trying to calm things down here, and to prevent this from getting any worse, I do not think Elle has deserved what she has got...
Has anyone taken advice from Elle and had their snake worse off for it?
Does anyone have a reason for making this public, and dragging someones name through the mud? what happened to the private messaging service?
If someone has a problem, why not take it to the person who caused it privately, or file a complaint to Rich Z?
This whole thing is completly out of proportion, and no one can stop others from posting too much, even if they do not like it.
Elle will make her decision and there is nothing we can do about it, so just accept it, or talk to the person in charge, again, Rich Z.
I have not had any problems with Elle in the past, so I am just stating my opinion. If Elle wants me to back down, I will do so, but I am thinking that if people on here are willing to jump out and attack someone, maybe we are not the nice, caring, community we think we are...
I don't want people to have a go at someone, all united and such, let alone people I consider friends. I think the amount of unity against Elle is shocking... Have you considered that ganging up on someone, especially younger than yourselves, could be a form of... well, I would say bullying, but in the adult community I am not sure what you would call it.
Also, by 18, people are adults, at least in England, and I would think we could have sorted this whole thing out sensibly.
Many quotes made by people are putting things out of context, so as to make them relevant to the situation. bear that in mind...
