I don't believe in ghosts.
But I can't explain what happened one night when I was 15.
Okay, so to set the scene. My bed at the time was up against a sliding glass door that went out onto our porch. I had a small aviary of ten or twelve parakeets outside.
One night I work up, hearing my birds screeching and flapping around. I looked outside and I saw this... animal.
How to describe? It was pure black and was smaller than a fox. Like a small cat. It had the tail of a cat as well. It's head was... cone shaped. Do you remember those spy vs spy comics on Mad Magazine? It had that shape of head. It moved gracefully, and as I watched it leapt up to the porch railing and onto the top of the aviary which were two 5 foot hops.
I don't remember feeling frightened. Only kinda like, "WTF?". So I started tapping the glass of the sliding glass door to get its attention.
It kinda cocked its little head and came over, compleatly fearless. It came so close, we were less than a foot apart, separated by glass.
It had no eyes.
I swear to you. It didn't have any eyes.
It also didn't have any ears.
Soon enough it got board and wondered off, and I just watched it go.
I've lived in the Sierra Nevada's all my life, and I've seen foxes, skunks, mountain lions, possums... I still to this day don't know what it was. So no, I don't believe in ghosts. But I do believe there are freaky animals out there.
Do you have Epilepsy, Or any sleeping disorders?![]()
who even came up with the theory of ghosts or beings from the otherside and all that kind of thing like who was it that started saying the word "ghost" i know i dont make much sense but ive always wondered that how did all this kind of stuff start
I was at my dad's work one day. I was sitting at his desk looking through the CCTV, which is pointed at the roll-up door into the work garage. I saw a young kid (~10 y/o) walk through the door. There was no one else around so I went into the garage and saw no one. I looked around for a solid 5 minutes and didn't see anyone. I found out later that the junk car my dad just got for parts that was sitting in the garage was involved in an accident where a little boy was killed. The boy was 11 years old. I still can't explain that to this day. Personally, I do believe in ghosts, but I only have one experience of my own, who knows? Maybe I was drunk or something. haha.
I did some serious time with Ouija boards as a teen. Despite being a skeptic even then, I experienced things that I couldn't explain at the time, e.g., flaring candles, dogs becoming uneasy and anxious, ease of "communication" throught the board. There are about a thousand reasons that a candle might flare up. All I have to do is stare intently at something for my dog to get uneasy.
SnakesRule, you're presenting a lot of information like it's fact, i.e. "Animals are more sensitive to the paranormal", when it's not. [\QUOTE]
I never said it was fact, if it sounds like I'm presenting it like that then too bad! I believe what I believe, and I KNOW it's true unless I'm proven wrong. So far, no one has convinced me otherwise. Thank you very much...
