I need the Giants to win for the CS.com pick'em...but I have Roy Williams and Marion Barber on a fantasy team. So, I'm rooting for a high scoring loss for the Boys!
 
This was the one game I was most confident about. I knew the Giants D would score, and that's already happened once, basically twice. The Giants offense will start to click next drive, and then the game will be blown open...
 
Man, these refs are bogus!!. That was a definite TD, and I'm hoping karma comes back to giive NY their well deserved 7 points...

Uhhhh, when the refs blow the whistle, it ends the play... no matter what because players let down their guard. They still got the ball - which I agree with.

But they blew the whistle after Phillips was already gone, so he would have scored regardless of whether they blew it or not.
I'm with you though, the whistle was blown, and there's no arguing that. Unfortunate that the TD was rebuked, but I can see where the ref's are coming from too. I think Mike Carey is one of, if not the, best ref in the game, and this has been a very fair game all of the way around. At least the referees didn't blow the pick dead too!

I think... gonna check to be sure... if a referee makes an end of play signal as well, the play is dead... so the ref who signaled incomplete also ended the play.

If they allowed "continuations" players would get hurt as they let down their guards and are, therefore, exposed to unexpected hits from those "still playing".

Yeah... I seem to remember a game where the ref's whistle didn't work, so he signaled the play dead... and it was as good as the whistle becuase players "ended" the play. Gee, that had to be 20 years ago... LOL. Man, I'm getting old. :)

Funny thing, is you can see him TRYING to whistle... to no avail... then he signaled. LOL.

YES! Dallas is ahead now... but lots of time on the clock... :(
